24: Alyssa, You are my best friend. I have known you for as long as I can remember. You have always been there for me through good times and through bad. A really long time ago we were sitting on your bed during one of our many sleepovers and we were talking about our weddings. I said, "Will you be my bridesmaid?" and you responded "Of course!". That is the moment when I really trusted you and when I knew that we would stay friends forever. When my great-grandma died, I was sitting in my room crying. You were the first call I had gotten since I received the news and all you said was I am so sorry. You also said that I could talk to you whenever I needed to. Someone to talk to was what I needed most at that moment, and that was what you gave me.
25: Listening is one of your many skills, and you already know one of mine is talking for hours. I have always loved how you are willing to sit next to me and listen to what ever I have to say even if it is just pointless ramble. I know you probably don't enjoy listening to it, but you sit there anyway. Minneapolis was one of the times I remember you really cared about me. We sat in the car for six hours and I most likely talked the entire way. You didn't ask to switch cars or put headphones on, you listened. When we were playing volleyball and I wasn't focused you would say "Katie come on focus win the next point you got it." Once after a game I had to score the next game and everyone else walked back to the room, but you stayed with me and sat at the table and helped me the entire time. Thank you for being my friend and for always caring about me. I love you so much. -Katie
