S: 2010 Trip to Amsterdam

FC: AMSTERDAM | OCTOBER 2010 Jenni, Jana, Mindy and Mary

 First Class to Amsterdam

Such neat things to see in the city! Cars parked on the sidewalk, driving on the sidewalk... and bikes everywhere! | It was so fun to go into shops and see things that were so out of the ordinary from what you would see in America!

decent hotel and a great location for the money. It was walking distance to most attractions. | HOTEL CORDIAL

We would go in the lobby and play cards at night, it was a lot of laughs

It was such a nice surprise for Bret to surprise us on our trip! He did not stay with us, but he popped up everywhere we were. You hardly even noticed he was there!

Dine in or Take Out? | The seafood at the markets was so fresh! | All the people were so kind and welcoming to all of us; even the ones that could not understand us!

The first day, the weather was a little overcast and cool, but we had fun just the same. | Our first day in the city, we bought tickets for the hop on, hop off canal boats. These boats stopped at many ports of which we were able to get off and spend as much time as we wanted to tour.

Several Ports along the way! | One of the many entrances to the Van Gogh Museum | The Anne Frank House was pretty intense. It was the one place I had always wanted to go.

A little taste of this and a little taste of that, we were always looking for the next food and beverage experience, even though some things were a little scary!

good eats | We went to a cheese factory in Voldendam. The cheese was fantastic! We filled our bags with lots of goodies. YUM YUM

Tour of Holland! Took a bus to a cheese factory, a windmill village and a wooden clog factory | Say CHEESEEEEE!

Best fish and chips I ever had! This was in the fishing village of Volderdam | Never a dull moment

 Jenni was our "hat" model

This was the Red Light District of Amsterdam We liked to hang out there at night. | STEVE

Red Light District...Jenni and I decided to go out the first night to the red light district. We had the best time ever. Met so many people, bar tended behind the bar and stayed out till 4am | We loved this local bar that we went to a few times and got to know Artee!!

 Antwerp, Belgium

good eats | Went all the way to Brussels, Belgium to eat a Belgium waffle! Of course I had to get the Belgium chocolate on top!

Our Lady Cathedral in Antwerp, Belgium

It was so beautiful outside this day. Many people walking hand in hand enjoying the sights of this old city. | Bridge over look, Antwerp | I was so sick this day, i sat on a step in brussels and sat there most of the tour. Luckily Jana and Jenni got all the pictures.

 Antwerp, Belgium

Lace Factory in Brussels. We had a tour from this nice French woman who told us how she made this lace.

This was in the Dam (Town square) | Holland

We spent one day just going around to all the shops in the Flower Market. Here are just a few of the treasures we found along the way!

The Flower Market in Amsterdam was gorgeous!

 Little Dutch Girls!

This was our toilet and our shower! could pee and shower at the same time! | Jenni, next time I think you should check with all of us before you invite a guest to sleep over! | CUCKA!
