1: Gladys & Dave had it all planned out . There was something new to see and do every day. The red rocks of Sedona are amazing. Bell Rock on the left, Snoopy in the middle and Courthouse Rock is on the right.
2: Can you find Coffeepot? Use your imagination. | hint....... look over my left shoulder | Bell Rock and Courthouse | The Nuns outside the Chapel of the Holy Cross.......

4: Montezuma's Castle | Grandpa & Dave taking a break | Abandoned in the 1400s, the Sinagua people used ladders to get to their castle in the rocks....
5: Newspaper Rock at V barV Ranch | It was a billboard, a calendar and a meeting place all wrapped into one location. This area was also abandoned in the 1400s.
6: Went to an art gallery.......amazing work, amazing artists! | Grandpa and his eagle.
7: Jordan Ranch One of the original homesteads in Sedona, it is now a museum. Bench Saw, the Farmall tractor ( specs) used to run the saw.
8: Jerome, Arizona An old mining town perched on the top of a mountain. Highest population was 15,000. Now it's about 500. 88 miles of tunnel was dug under the mountain for the mine. That's why the jail slid two blocks downhill...and they left it there.. | San Francisco Peaks
9: On our way to the trading post at Cameron we saw a cattle drive, "di-rectly" off the highway.
10: and then we went to...... | ....and realized that it's NOT just another hole in the ground....
13: What can be said? God had a really good day!
14: Ten miles across, as the raven flies. 215 going down and then up the other side. The Colorado River flows.

18: tossing in some random pictures not included on the previous pages...... | (had to get Elephant Rock in here somewhere!) | our first stop....this was a deep canyon (Oak Creek Canyon) and there were quite a few native American 'kiosks" selling handmade crafts | yes, that's really snow....remember it's February and look at the altitude | our Docent at Newspaper Rock was informative, funny and fun! the US Forest Service is lucky to have him!
19: 3-5 ft. deep canal dug by hand by the Sinagua people from Montezuma's Well (which had nothing to do with Montezuma by the way) to the fields they farmed near the Castle. | leaving the Chapel. | Dave, Gladys and Grandpa
