Brianne Palensky Art 1030 Amee Patel | Mission Statement: I would like to show my viewers the elements of art through the use of photography throughout the world. I would like to use the visual elements of art to show how each have a different part in photography. Photographs write with life, and this is what the photographs i picked show.

There is repetition of the flowers on the two photographs on the left.

Color can help us connect to emotion. Each of these photographs have similar content- not only the lines or forms but also its subject matter and underlying meaning. These are photographs of flowers with vibrant, bright colors. | Each of these photographs use a mix of both primary colors, colors that cannot be derived from the mixing of other color, and secondary colors, lighter colors | These photographs have pure hues since they have the greatest intensity and brightness. | Color also links to mood. Each of these have bright, vibrant colors, so the mood of these would be happy and exciting.

Both of these photographs have the same content and subject matter, a peacock feather. The top photograph uses colors with a more vibrant hue, and warmer colors. The bottom photograph uses colors that are cooler. Both photographs show imbalance with the feather on one side.

Both of these photographs also have the same content and subject matter, palm trees with a sunset in the background. The top photograph again, uses colors with a warmer hue and the bottom photograph uses colors with a cooler hue

Both of these are examples of high-contrast value patterns, the variation of light colors. The light on the left photograph is reflecting off the water creating color hues The light on the bottom photograph makes it possible to see the flower which is the focal point. | Light illuminates, dazzles, and glows. Light makes it possible for us to see points, lines, shapes, and textures.

The photographs demonstrate ephemeral art, art that has temporary immediacy.

This photograph captures motion through the use of stopped time. It is based on creating optical sensations of movement through the repetition of line.

This photograph shows implied motion, showing the leaves moving. The focal point and emphasis is on the leaves, since they are very warm colors compared to the cool colored background | This photograph captures motion through the use of implied motion or time. This motion is in the process of occurring, rather than that motion has occurred.

Both of these photographs use relative size and linear perspective. Things that are supposed to be closer to the viewer are larger, the bottom of the Eiffel Tower and the chandelier. The photograph of the Eiffel Tower is an example of architecture, designing buildings, bridges, structures, etc. | The foreground of the photograph to the right is the chandelier and the background is the woman in the back.

Both of these photographs use shape, areas within a composition that have boundaries that separate them from what surrounds them. The flamingos create a shape with their beaks of a heart. The photograph to the left uses figure-ground relationship with positive and negative shapes. The positive shapes are the circles on the bench.

Both of these photographs use one-point perspective to create vanishing points, where the parallel lines converge. The trees in the photograph above are larger when they are far from the vanishing point.

Scale refers to size, how big or small an object is compared to others. The scale of this elephant in this photograph is very large, but that fits with the actual size of the object in real life. You can also see visual texture of the elephant's skin.

This photographer is recording an event or memory through this known photograph. This photograph is of the couple kissing in Times Square on V-J Day. It is a portrait of the couple and photojournalism for the media.
