9: Instead of just painting on canvas or sculpting in traditional materials Art Nouvea artist found ways to make everyday objects pieces of art. A door knocker becomes a dragonfly; an entryway can be framed with vines. I really like the Paris subway entrances by Hector Guimard.

10: Subway entrances by Hector Guimaro are probably his best known works of art. 86 of them are still in use. I like how he ised iron, bronze and glass to create organic forms like vines and flowers.

11: Rene Lalique | John Anthony | More everyday objects that were turned into works of art. Instead of using traditional gemstones artist used opals, ivory, molded glass, and semiprecious stones.

12: Decorative Arts for the Body I feel tattoos embrace Art Nouveau ideas of decorating everyday objects even our body itself! | The term "Whiplash refers to the characteristic curves employed by Art Nouveau artists. Such decorative whiplash motifs formed by dynamic, undulating and flowing lines are found throughout the architecture, painting, sculpture and many other forms of Art Nouveau design like these tattoos!
