FC: Baseball Memories 2011 | Made specially for Kathy Trzos By Christina Campbell aka "The Bug" | G O | P A D R E S !
I wanted to personally thank you for everything you put forth this 2011 Padres season. All the way from Spring Training to the last game of the year has truly been amazing and I'm honored to have the opportunity to do so. Never in a million years would I have thought I would be this big baseball fan seven years ago and look at me now, thanks to you! (Dad will just have to deal.) I am also SO glad you were there when Mat Latos decided to talk to us! He probably would never have talked to me again! How awkward....Anyways experiences like that have been amazing and I absolutely can't wait until next season! It will be even better! (If that's possible) GO PADRES!!!!
Spring Training Phoenix, AZ March 2011 | "Get Rizzo's autograph!" "Who's Rizzo?" "Just trust me!" Missed that opportunity....
One amazing Spring Training experience! Stayed at Chuck's Resort and Spa, which was definately better than any hotel! Dad learned to deal with the two crazed Padre fans....because guess what?! The whole season lied ahead of us and this was only the beginning!
"Hey Yoda!" We will never forget this guy.... | "You know who I am?!" "This is all she wants! Your autograph!" Thank you lady from Fallbrook!
Opening Day April 5, 2011 Padres vs. Giants | Bud Black, one of the best managers! | 1st picture at first game of the year! | Go Padres!
Surprise guest Trevor Hoffman entered through the bullpen to the song Hells Bells! The 25 man, 2011 roster, was introduced which has changed an extensive amount by the end of the year. An amazing Padre year is on it's way! | P A D R E S B A S E B A L L
 Pittsburgh loses..... | Tigers Win!!! | Detroit Tigers VS. Pittsburgh Pirates May 22, 2011 | V E R L A N D E R | M c C U T C H E N
The weekend of Sallie's funeral and we decided to go to a ballgame with cousin Sallie and Corb! It was interleague play, how could we resist! Although we did get stuck eating the leftover vegetables......Did they really think we would eat 3 day old washed off vegetables? I don't think so....
Boston Red Sox June 18-22, 2011 | So much happened during this exciting adventure! Met some really nice people who walked us back safely and bought us ice cream! Really wasn't sure what was so great about that ice cream...Although, Mat Latos threw me a ball which I will cherish forever and ever! Mr. Mira Mesa is still yet to be found, but you never know! Maybe we will find him next year! | B O S T O N
 Latos #38 | R E D S O X
Mr. Mira Mesa | BELL #21 | The farthest home run on record!
Dad and his love for the Hyandai Elantra....that's all he gets now wherever we go! We visited your family in Schenectady, NY as well as dad's old boarding school. We are now aware of what covered bridges are as well! Don't see any of those here in southern California! Overall probably one of the best trips of the summer for so many reasons!
Seattle, Washington July 2-5, 2011 | Oh Mat Latos and his glove flapping...."He motioned to throw him the ball!"
We liked the stadium but couldn't seem to find toilet paper or coffee anywhere!! Mariners did take 2 out of 3 yes...but at least we didn't have a 17 game losing streak! Have also come to find out this is a favorite stadium among a lot of the Padre players!
Dodger Stadium July 10, 2011 | BEAT LA! | We have come to a conclusion that Dodger fans are just plain mean! Like the team.....
 D O D G E R | B L U E | What's up with the socks Rizzo?
July 31, 2011 Colorado Rockies We get an amazing view from the bullpen, as well as get some autographs, and met our new friend Michelle! We also say our final goodbyes to the unbelievable mike adams!
 # 37
Trevor Hoffman Retirement Ceremony August 21, 2011 | HELLS BELLS!!!!!
"Would you like a picture with us? Come on take a picture with us!" | Greg Hoffman and family | #51 never to be worn again......
 Arizona Diamondbacks August 26-28, 2011
"So how was your drive over?" No response.... "Great!" An experience I will never forget because one, Mat Latos finally talked to me and two, I will NEVER do that EVER again! Total deaf mute! | Can you speak? Apparently not.....
Ananheim Stadium Sept. 11, 2011 Angels Vs. Yankees
Yankees unfortunately did win this one, but we did get to see a very nice presentation for 9/11. We finally got to see the Yankees play even though we can't stand Jeter or A-Rod. | Met some nice fans even though they say Angel fans are not nice to begin with....I was thinking more along the lines of Yankee fans! I mean the guy behind us would not be quiet!
Last Game of the Year! September 28, 2011 Padres Vs. Cubs | 12th Annual shirts off their backs!
Grand Slam!!! | The last game of the year was definitely a sad one. Seemed like everything was one off that night!! First with the scratch off to the win the jersey, then Mat Latos not recognizing me, and batting practice! At least we can do batting practice next year! To top it off Will Venable got a GRAND SLAM! Good way to end the season! The guy with the two little boys we met out front waiting for BP caught Nick Hundley's 3 run homer ball! Lucky guy....Anyways as our game was going on a playoff rally was in effect with both Tampa Bay and Atlanta. Poor Atlanta and Red Sox....Both of the teams we wanted were out of the playoffs...Now who do we root for? Padres season may be over, but we have another month of playoffs to look forward to!
C | Can't wait to have more adventures next year!!!
