16: 1st Taste of Kangaroo! I did things in a backward order as far as kangaroos in Australia go: 1. Ate a Kangaroo 2. Saw Kangaroo Roadkill 3. Saw a Kangaroo in a Zoo 4. Saw a Kangaroo in the Wild!
17: Literally 30 seconds after we had finished our conversation, a kangaroo came hopping in front of us and we had to slam on the brakes!! It definitely made my first kangaroo sighting that much more exciting!! | As Ray was driving, I asked how often people accidentally hit kangaroos with their vehicles, just to see if it was comparable to Saskatchewan!

21: Seth's Parent's Place! His Mom built the whole thing herself!
22: Paul's Place! | What an experience! Paul's Place is a haven for Australian wildlife where I got to do some pretty incredible things! First, I saw the kangaroos and was free to free to feed, pet, and even hold them! It was incredible! Next, we moved on to an area with emus! They are similar to an ostrich and in all honesty, rather creepy!! We got to hand feed them. As you can see from the photo, I was a little nervous|! Next we were waiting for a mystery creature to be brought out from a shed! Paul knew I was terrified of snakes, and chose me as a volunteer! It was extremely embarrassing as 40 people watched me in shear terror! It turned out to be a freshwater crab, but I had gone running and screaming before it came out! My favourite part was holding the cuddly koala bear! It was so furry, but had very sharp claws! To conclude our adventure at Paul's place, I attempted to conquer my fear of snakes by holding an enormous boa constrictor! It was awful!! I had my eyes closed tight and neck stretched out so far I barely knew it was a snake, until it's tail touched my legs! Ahhhhhh! I wouldn't say I conquered my fear, but my day at Paul's Place was definitely an unforgettable experience!

27: Admiral's Arch Flinder's Chase National Park | If you look closely, there are seals playing on the rocks and in the water!

29: Seal Bay Conservation Park
31: Vivonne Bay
33: Little Sahara!! I rented a board and headed to Little Sahara Sand Dunes! It was a lot more difficult than snowboarding, but once I caught on it was fun! The main difference between sandboarding and snowboarding ... NO LIFT!! Running up the hill was exhausting!

Along with Rick's truck and camper, we rode a small ferry from Rainbow Beach across to the island. The waters we rode over were extremely rough and shark infested! There are no real roads on Fraser Island--everyone just drives on the beach! I even got to drive!
39: aThe | The dingoes were everywhere on Fraser Island! They are a wild dog species that roam free on the island. They tend to leave people alone, though can be dangerous! Fraser Island had so many awesome features packed into one island! Freshwater lakes, white beaches, rain forests, sand cliffs, creeks, sand dunes, and many more natural attractions!
