S: Lifestyle Portraits by Christine Lewis
BC: “Sensitive people faced with the prospect of a camera portrait put on a face they think is one they would like to show the world...Very often what lies behind the facade is rare and more wonderful than the subject knows or dares to believe.” – Irving Penn, 1975.
1: What is Lifestyle Photography? According to the American Heritage Dictionary, a lifestyle is “A way of life or style of living that reflects the attitudes and values of a person or group.” Lifestyle photography is a style of photography that captures who you are.
9: Lifestyle photography captures your personality, your relationships, that genuine smile and that look that you always give your kids. It's that picture in which you can almost hear the child giggling and cackling.
14: It's a non-traditional photojournalist approach to portraits that moves away from stilted, awkward poses.
21: The last thing I want to do is to tell you what to do and where to sit. I’d much rather you pretend I’m not there and let me capture the visual story of who you are.
26: Relax. Let your kids play! Have fun. Be yourself. Trust me, the pictures will follow.
