FC: The life cycle of a star By:Dallas Hines and Jayden Boedicker
1: The life cycle of a star is very long. It starts off as a ball of gas and dust, then light from other stars creates new chemicals and eventually make a new planetary system. This is called a nebula. When it becomes a star it will go through its life cycle. A star at the begining of its life cycle is at its hottest but has a cool color. As it progresses the color gets warmer but the temperature gets cooler, but is still extremely hot! Our son is around the middle of its life cycle.
2: Stars at the begining of their life cycle and at their hottest point are called blue stars. They can expand and become huge, gassy, supergiants!
3: When a star runs out of hydrogen in its core, it expands into a huge, gassy, Super Giants! Because it has no hydrogen in its core, Super Giants are alot cooler than regular stars
4: When stars are near the end of their life cycle all thats left is the center. This is called a White Dwarf. A white Dwarf is very hot and astronomers say that the Sun may become a White Dwarf
5: When stars die they go out with a bang, destroying everything in its path. Sometimes wiping out entire solar systems. Luckily our sun will not do that for a couple billion years! So that is the life cycle of a star. Thank you for watching!
