S: Life of a Star

BC: Justin Hurt, & Lyndsie Turner

FC: Life of a Star

1: Have you ever wondered where stars come from? Stars are born and die just like humans do!

2: All stars start out as a nebula. A nebula is a cloud of dust and gas.

3: When a nearby star explodes, it causes the nebula to collapse. It flattens into a disk and begins to spin.

4: A star forms at the center of this disk. It's a part of the main sequence.

5: A star spends most of its life in the main sequence. The more massive the star the shorter its lifespan in the main sequence.

6: When a main sequence star runs out of hydrogen in its core the center shrinks inward and the outer parts expand outward. It becomes a supergiant.

7: When a large star like a supergiant dies, it explodes in a supernova. The explosion is extremely powerful.

8: After a supernova explosion the leftovers collapse together and form a black hole. Its gravity is so strong that not even light can escape it.

9: This is a stars life when its All together. Do you remember what the order is for a stars life?
