FC: Genesis 5:1 The Family Tree (up to the year Two Thousand & Twelve) "This is the family tree of the human race: When God created the human race, he made it Godlike, with a nature akin to God. He created both male and female and blessed them, the whole human race." Everything Starts with a Seed...
1: "Mesha" Born Ameisha Lee Wagner to Patricia Louise Wagner of Muskogee, Oklahoma on Tuesday, June 24, 1980 at Muskogee Regional Hospital. My mama told me she found my name in a magazine & it was supposed to be Armesha. I'm SO glad she forgot that "R." My middle name comes from my Great-Gramma, Rosa Less Jackson-Byrd, Checotah, Oklahoma. I was told that when my grampa (Robert Leroy Wagner, Sr.) was courting my gramma (Mary Louise Byrd-Wagner) she told him if he wanted to be with her he had to come to Oklahoma. So, he hopped a train (literally) & did just that. He bricked a house at 912 Harris Street & there my mama, her 3 brothers (Robert, Larry, & Albert), me, my cousins (Quinton, Ashlee, & Garrick), & younger sister (Alyssa) grew up, or visited quite often. It was a long shotgun house w/4 bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen, living/dining areas, & a passageway washer/dryer area that lead to the bathroom & 2 of the bedrooms & the door to the backyard. I remember the swing-dial dark beige phone on the left wall as soon as you walked into the kitchen. When I was young, I remember hopping onto the large deep freezer gramma stored meat in just to reach the phone, sticking my finger in the number I wanted & turning it alllll the way back to one. I remember playing & fighting neighborhood kids. We spent ALL day outside playing in mud, climbing trees, playing on the train tracks, at the creek catching crawfish & turtles, making up tv shows, drawing w/rocks in the carport & playing in the street in the rain. My favorite toys were my Cabbage Patch dolls. I had 14 & got one every year for my birthday or Christmas. Sometimes both. My bday parties were HUGE! Cars blocking 5-7 streets, lots of people, food, music, games, & FUN! I remember Friday night football /basketball games & warming up by the stove. Every game night gramma would make fish & fries or we'd get pizza. Her staple...Crush Grape Pop! She was a school teacher. Grampa was a construction worker. He didn't say much after his stroke when I was 3 or 4. EVERYDAY in middle school & high school, he'd have something made for me to eat when I go home from school. To this day, he's why I put cheese on a corndog. I remember lying my head on his left leg because he ALWAYS sat on the far right side of the couch & watching Dragnet w/him or Nick@Nite. I remember lying in the floor watching the Cosby Show, A Different World, Saturday Morning Cartoons, TGIF Shows, & waiting for the newest New Edition video to come on Midnight Love w/green-eyed Donnie Simpson. When my mom & sister lived in my great-gramma's house (next-door) I had to wash dishes over there.I hated heating up water in HUGE pots to wash dishes because she didn't have hot water. That taught me discipline...that I still TRYto use today (ha ha ha). I want people to remember me as a person who helped when I could, played & worked at my best, & loved hard...because I don't know any other way to love.
