1: One day a girl named Jackie was at the beach. She was playing volleyball with a group of girls, and they were very into the game. They forgot to drink water constantly and soon enough Jackie was feeling dizzy and her head was throbbing.
2: She sat down on the sand and her friends were getting worried. She was getting worried about herself too. | Her friend told her to run but she didn't have enough strength. She asked her other friend Jessica to bring her some water. | Jessica got her some water and then she took a wet towel and put it on her forehead.
3: Jackie's friends decided to try and get some help. First they picked Jackie up and took her to a shady spot.Then they called Jackie's parents. They were on their way to the beach.
4: As soon as Jackie's parents arrived they lift Jackie into the car. Her friends are going to meet her at the hospital. When they arrive at the hospital Jackie is immediately taken to a room and her clothes is removed | When she has had an IV placed into her arm her body temperature is taken. She is slowly getting her body back to its normal temperature. The doctor tells her she is a victim of heat exposure she wouldn't have gotten help she would have been at risk of fainting and muscle cramps. The doctor tells her she will be fine in less than 4 days.
5: Her parents took her home and she was feeling a little bit better. She rested for about an hour and then her parents brought her some crackers and fluids. Her doctor had told her to to place ice packs in areas with greatest blood supply.
6: Slowly but surely she was recovering. Next time she was headed to the beach she was bound to make sure she had a good supply of water and slightly salted foods.
7: In few days she was back to her normal self and her friend Jessica was happy to have her back on the volleyball team. Every 45 minutes they took breaks and rehydrate themselves.
