Just wanted to say "Happy Birthday" to you and let you know how very proud of you I am. You have allowed God to work in your life in so many ways. You have become a great husband, father, son and pilot.... :-)..... you have put God first in your life and you reflect Him in all you do. My prayer for you and your family is that God would pour out His love in your life and that He would give you strength, courage, wisdom and grace, now and through out the rest of your life. 14: It's taken me forever to write this note because there are just too many memories and thoughts from the past 30 years! How do I narrow it all down to something simple!! One of my favorite quotes on the frig says "You're not here by chance but by God's choosing. His hand formed you and made you the person you are. He compares you to no one else--you are one of a kind. You lack nothing that His grace can't give you. He has allowed you to be here at this time in history to fulfill His special purpose for this generation" I believe that so much!!! God has been writing a story since the beginning of creation and as a mom it's been so cool to sit backand watch and see how He is using you in that story. You have brought so much laughter!!! You've also experienced a lot of heartache and yet I know that He is working all that out in your life....not just for you but for your family, friends and the people's lives that you touch. We never quite see what He had in mind in the midst of it all but sometimes He gives us a little glimpse of the awesome things He is "working for our good and His glory". Some of my wonderful memories of you......Just when I thought I didn't need to rush to the hospital because I had labored so long for Ben....you decided to come quickly!!! Guess you were in a hurry then to get things done then and that part of your personality still shows!!! You were a baby when we went through some difficult days.... dad not having a job and moving to Florida and back again....but you always brought us lots of laughter and joy, When you started walking at 8 months it was just another reminder that you wanted to take charge of life!! People were amazed at such a tiny thing waking all over. I loved the time we lived in Florida because it was a time I was able to be off work....about 6 months worth....I'll always treasure that time to just be a mom.
You always loved animals but when the puppies were born it was such a fun time.....taking them for skateboard rides in the basement... bringing upstairs while we all hung out and watched TV....and then being talked into keeping TWO puppies and not just one!!! Three dogs...what was I thinking?? But it was great fun! Your incredible sense of humor always made us laugh and helped with the good and the difficult days!! I'll always remember the "tail" that you didn't want cut off....too cool to cut!!! And the dream to be a farmer and all the hours you spent out in the field and using your tractor...the homeschool days (how DID you put up with me??), Volleyball, the "cracker" skit, the skit team and on and on. Loved it when you drove Great Grandma Scotts car and were PROUD of it!!! You knew that "wheels" were going to change your life...who knew that later on "wings" would change your life again!! Those were all great memories....and they still go on!!! When you decided on the woman of your dreams and brought Amanda and Daye into our lives it was another added blessing. It was a time to let you go to build your own family and the addition of Bella and Kennedy just brought more blessings! The joy YOUR family has brought to us has been incredible!! You and Amanda have made us feel welcome to still be a part of your lives --just in a different role. It has been a special blessing to see you as a husband and dad!!! I am so grateful God gave me the privilidge of being your mom and I will always continue to pray that God will be the center of your life and that of your family. I don't know of any better way to live! I love you Mom
Josh...you are a gift from God...amidst trials and blessings, you reappeared into Mandy's life...and made it complete....you are an amazing husband to our daughter, a hands on dad and most importantly have always accepted Daye as your own (because she is!)....you do not take compliments well, but you deserve many....Hard to believe you are 30...we love and respect you so much...Kathy and Rich (mom and dad a)
Bro...i am so incredibly proud of the man you have and continue to become. as you look back on the past 30 years i pray what you see and remember is the hand of God, moving, shaping, and guiding you to this very moment. rejoice in that truth. however, when you look back if you see things you would change do not give in to the trap of regret, instead let that motivate you to engage the moments to come with even more vigor than you already do. even though your body may not always agree, your best days really are ahead. enjoy them. embrace them fully. God is as much present in the days to come as He has been in the days that have passed. i believe in you. in all the days that have passed and all those that are yet to come, i'm honored to call you my brother. love ya man....

Josh, Happy birthday to a modern day renaissance man. You have been such a blessing to our family not only by the way you are able to fix/create ANYTHING, but also by the way you have loved on our girls. It's such a blessing to be able to look around our home and see traces of you everywhere. The dock, the hammock, the time you spent on the girls fan, helping to paint so everything would be ready for Norah's arrival, creating the beginnings of CrossFit AZO and everything you've done in between. I have no advice, just encouragement to keep "seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness" then everything else will fall into place:) Team Bray loves Josh LP. Happy 30th birthday and many many more. Sincerely, Jim, Carrie, Lucy, and Norah
Happy Birthday Josh, Let's see, you still have 5 years before you qualify to be president even tho' you have much more on the ball than our current one. You are an amazing man, husband and father, not to mention a wonderful grandson to us!!! Hope your day is a good one and I know you will have many more to come. You just keep taking care of our precious Mandy and our super duper great grand daughters, which I know you will. We wish you the best because you deserve it!!! Love, Granpa & Granma Kauffman
HAPPY BIRTHDAY,,to a very special grandson. You have always been and continue to be a wonderful man of God. Your love and kindness to others continues even with your busy schedule and all it takes to love and raise your family. Grandpa would agree I'm sure... Love Grandma LaPlace
"I'm so lucky as can be, the world's greatest Dad belongs to me."
Have a heart that never hardens, a temper that never tires, and a touch that never hurts Don't aim for success if you want it, just do what you love and believe in it and it will come naturally......... love Ilene
Im exceptionally proud of my nephew Josh, for a number of reasons. I’m proud of all he has accomplished in learning about airplane mechanics and getting his pilot license, and now having a job as a pilot. But more than that, Iam proud of what a wonderful husband and father he has been while he accomplished all that. I remember a night when I was visiting with Amanda and the girls, and Josh was gone in Minnesota for training. In the midst of that time, he took time to get on the computer and talk to all of them. Even from where I am only seeing much of it on Facebook, I see how he makes an extra effort to be there for Amanda and each of his daughters, ensuring they know that they are special. There are so many examples, but here are two that come immediately to mind. I thought it was awesome that he setup time for Amanda to join him in DC, so they could go see the sites together. For the girls, I remember when he asked each one what they wanted in a date with Dad, and took them out individually to do that with them. He sets a shiny example to husbands and fathers everywhere! Love, Cynthia
Josh, Happy Birthday to you here brother. 30 is quite a milestone. It makes me think back to our camp days brother. Back-to-back "Iron Man" competition winners. It seems like quite a while ago. Do your remember our motto for the competition? It might be summed up as "Go Big or Go Home" though our wording was different if you remember. I loved the chance we got to play ball together and worship together they were good days. Then, of course, there was our little blues concert at camp. We gathered a nice little crowd that way. Good times man. Happy 30th! You've been blessed with a beautiful family, and I pray that God continues to bless you. Much love, Landon Yowell
