10: To ease Deployment woes and add a little humor to their day, the wives of HS-5 send gifts of every size. Sombreros, piñatas, mustaches,no matter, As long as our husbands look as crazy as the Mad Hatter!

14: OVER THE HUMP! We celebrated surviving the first half of deployment with a stretch limousine and endless supply of champagne. We laughed, we cried, we drank. A lot. But mostly we cherished our time together, our friendship, and Erin's maverick toilet repair skills!

24: So long, Farewell, Aufiderzein, Goodbye is something we must embrace in the Navy. We know, though, that goodbye is not forever. Once a Nightdippette, always a family.

28: As another deployment draws near, eight ladies and a gentleman show some leg to give their spouses something to remember them by on the long journey ahead.

30: Deployment 2010

31: Posing by a helo, signing schedules in the ready room, and standing under the Friendship Bridge. | It's a Tough Life.

32: It's VEGAS, Baby! What started as a joke turned into the best Over the Hump the Navy has ever seen!

34: Port visits are an opportunity to unwind, sightsee, partake in adult beverages, and try not to get the Skipper fired. Sometimes easier said than done.

36: Finally home, but where do I land?! A Home Port Change while the squadron was deployed left some question about where to go. Luckily, they figured it out and landed safely at the new HS-5 hangar. | HOMECOMING 2010

38: Life Preservers, Wheelchairs, and Helos, OH MY! The 2010 Helicopter Ball was a time for antics and celebration. Thank goodness FDR brought his wheelchair -- otherwise, we wouldn't have had a centerpiece!

40: Octoberfest 2010 was complete with costumes, crafts, and a competitive game of hunting for gum in whipped cream. YUM!

42: The Winter Party Season wouldn't be complete without the HS-5 Holiday Party!

44: HS-5 was honored with the prestigious Battle Efficiency Award for 2010. This award represents the hard work and determination of all the HS-5 sailors and recognizes the high caliber of skill and leadership in the squadron.
