1: It was the morning of April 1st, and I was on my way to work when my phone rang. It was the doctor's office calling me before office hours. All that I could think was that my test results showed something was wrong. 'Mrs. Troegel, your blood work came back and it turns out you are pregnant.' After about 10 minutes of freaking out and thinking it was an April Fool's joke, I tried to think of a way to inform Alex we were going to be parents. I went to the pharmacy during my lunch break and bought a pregnancy test, and a lady from work took the following picture. I bought a 'Future LSU Tiger' picture frame, framed this picture and gave it to Alex in a gift bag. Needless to say, we were both very surprised and excited.
2: Alex and I waited so long to find out whether we were having a boy or a girl; we did not find out until I was 28 weeks along. At my 17 week check=up, the umbilical cord was right smack between it's legs, so we had to wait. GO FIGURE | It's a BOY...
3: The months flew by in the beginning. We had so much going on: we bought our first home together, we registered for baby stuff, we got a dog, Bruiser, which I do not recommend doing, we ordered and put together baby furniture. attended baby showers, AND I gained 50 pounds.
7: Exhaustion has set in... | ...here too. | Speechless | Alex's first diaper change EVER
