S: Lindstrom, Haley A Night Of Food And Entertainment With The King And Queen

FC: A Night Of Food And Entertainment The King and Queen | Written by: Haley Lindstrom Eyer Middle School April

Haley goes to Eyer Middle School. Is thirteen, and making this book for Social Studies.Enjoys listening to music and likes to hang out with friends.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, the queen and I are having a feast and entertainment, on the 16th of June.Only the most prominent people are invited to come. The food will be prepared by The magnificent Chef Hector. Many courses will be served there will be roasted pig, lamb, and many other meals will be served. The entertainment will be jousting.Be there for a good time.

The day finally arrived! Chef Hector was slaving over the hot stove making all of the food in his kitchen. For the first coarse he was going to make a giant pig roast. He was getting frustrated at the fact that he is does not have a lot of potatoes left. He hoped that there wasn't going to be a lot of people coming to the feast.

Once all of the people came in the castle and started to settle down. The King made a speech of how lucky they are to be here because usually such high class in royalty does not have big gatherings like this very often. The King sent one of his men to go tell chef Hector that all the people were there and that there were one hundred fifty-six people attending the feast tonight. Chef Hector was not believing that.I only have enough food for around one hundred people.Well you'll have to think of something soon said the king's man.Chef was in panic mode.Alright well I can make fried peacock heads.Thats a common food I guess.

Finally all of guests are in a line waiting at the castle doors. People were drooling over how beautiful the castle is.They started telling people if they could come in or not.The castle was filled with mixed emotions some elated and some grim faces. Then the one guy that was not being allowed to go decided to find a group of people and they were plotting a plan.

It's finally here, what Chef Hector said! I am not ready yet. Your going to have to stall. I'm oh so sorry my dear dear King. But you had all day to prepare how aren't you done? Well the pig took a little bit longer than I thought it would. Please forgive me. You better hurry. It will only take me twenty more minutes. Okay since I am the nicest king ever to walk this ground I'll give you some more time.

Uh um where is the food,I gave him more time. If he doesn't have it out here in five minutes off with his head, then we might have something to eat, said the king. This is embarrassing me it makes me look bad not having all of my food here. Trying to stall the king made a terrible joke. Oh George the queen said, what Mary? That joke was terrible. Oh I know, saying it so quietly that no one heard him.Well look who decided to arrive with the food, I'm I'm sorry sir, that isn't good enough your fired.Maybe I'll hire someone that might actully be on time to my gatherings,I said I'm sorry I really don't care you made me look like a fool so now I am going to make you look like one. He said it loud and clear so that everyone could hear it.

Chef Hector took a step forward and slapped the King right...... in...... front....... of ......everybody.Off with your head it is, guards now!!! Cancel all plans for the evening forget about the jousting were all going to watch you die,but but I'm sorry I don't know what took over me to do that please no I have a wife and children. They don't need you. Take him away. The guests were completly silent. You could here a pin drop in the dining room area. By the way to food is in the kitchen Chef said.I would not be surprised if he tried to poison us all.

I said I was sorry. Sorry isn't good enough for me.I will do anything to stay alive. You want to stay alive, lets make a deal. What kind of deal my good king? Well tonight after we are done eating you and I will have a Joust. If you win off with my head and you stay alive. If I win off with the head. That sounds fair. I'm giving you a fair deal will you take it? I'll accept.

After dinner was over the king was wrapped in armor as a part of preparing for the joust. To be fair I have to give him armor too I guess, guards go get more armor for him. All right lets head out. The King was traveling an old dirt road to get to the jousting arena. There his trusty stead was,the king always won one his lucky horse. Chef Hector's horse was Old and not very fast. He had little chance of winning.

All of the guests were very shocked with what had happened that evening that was supposed to be filled with happiness is now filled with sorrow. People were whispering to each other to see who they wanted to win most of them said the king, but some of the guests thought King George was being unfair. All the guests were gathering up their belongings and were being esquarted to the jousting arena.

This is when the action really started picking up. They were both sateling up and beginning to fight, but first the king told the deal that they had between them so it was loud and clear.Once Hector came out the crowd was booing and cheering at the same time, same with the king.Anyone who boos me well off with all your heads too.

Let the games begin the queen said releasing them to joust. It was very loud. They started to joust.First King George came and almost knocked Chef right off his horse. Hector's horse being so old was starting to lay started to lay down,he then jolted it and started to fight. But then spontaniously Hector just knocked the king right off his horse. Starting to hit him with his lance King George surrendered. Victory is mine! Now it's off with your head King.

To come to think the king doesn't always win every battle, and all stories don't have" And they lived happily ever after." in it.
