FC: Japan Edo-Meiji Period

1: Edo Period Effects on Samurai | The Samurai lost their job, as a warrior for the daimyo. | They also earned a low annual salary. | During the Edo Period they worked 1 day a week(half a day), no family allowed, spent spare time visiting,drinking tea,studying, and writing poetry.

2: Edo Period Effects on Japan | The Dutch were allowed to stay but with strict restrictions (trade only on small island of Nagasaki Harbor). | No one enters or leaves Japan. | Samurai lost their job, of a warrior for the daimyo.

3: Meiji Period Effects on Japan | Feudalism was abolished, domains were abolished and the country was divided into prefectures or districts, taxes were collected directly by the central government, samurai were replaced by military.
