1: We dedicate this book to our favorite teacher Mrs. DiPrato Your 2nd Grade Class 2010 - 2011

2: In 2031, Matt Logan was awarded Lego International's Designer of the Year. | Matt Logan was born in Orlando, Florida on a cold January day in 2003. It didn't take Matt long to learn the art of Lego designing, building his 1st Lego set at just age 2. | Today Matt is one of the most accomplished Lego Designers in the field. Many of his works can be found in the Smithsonian Museum of American History. Matt attributes much of his success to his 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. DiPrato. She fostered his love of math and science. She also taught him that you should treat people the way you would like to be treated. These are words he still lives by today. | Matt Logan

3: At the 73rd Grammy Awards Samantha won her 27th Grammy, breaking Alison Krauss' record of 26. | It was in 2nd grade. She loved Mrs. DiPrato's word wall. Each week she looked forward to seeing what new words were going to be added. | Though Samantha Cohen has become a household name, her childhood story is much like yours. She came into this world the oldest of three, but only by mere minutes. She is the fraternal twin to her sister, Emily. Samantha grew up with her family in Orlando Florida until her singing career started to take off. When asked about her childhood, Samantha recalled one of her most memorable moments. | Samantha Cohen

4: Miriam was Sports Illustrated Female Athlete of the Year for 2031. | Miriam Carmant had a tough time deciding what she wanted to become when she grew up. An only child born shortly after Mother's Day in 2002, Miriam loved caring for animals, playing soccer and creating art. She learned from | Mrs. DiPrato, her 2nd grade teacher, that you should learn as much as you can about everything, especially how to read. Her thirst for knowledge helped open many doors for her. Miriam played for the Olympic Soccer Teams for three consecutive summer games. She opened a veterinary clinic which caters to some of Orlando's famous pet actors. In her spare time, you can find her painting in her art studio. | Miriam Carmant

5: Jonathan was the youngest player to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame at age 28. | volunteer police officer. Jonathon claims his love for forensics began in 2nd grade. Mrs. DiPrato conducted numerous science experiments centered around the bones of the body. He was hooked. | One of baseball's greats, Jonathon Chojnoski made his start in Orlando, FL. He was born in the summer of 2003. Jonathan quickly discovered that baseball was his true passion. Through endless practicing and pure determination, he became the most heavily recruited rookie in 2021. He was drafted to the Majors straight out of college. 6: Travis was awarded his 2nd Noble Prize in Physics in 2031, tying the previous record holder John Bardeen. | Travis Jordan, two time Noble Prize Winner in Physics, was born the 1st day in November of 2002. He entered this world just one minute before his twin brother, Luke. From that moment on, he was determined to always finish | first. After graduating at the top of his engineering class at the UF, Travis continued on to receive his doctorate. Travis' love for math and science started in 2nd grade. He claims that Mrs. DiPrato's lessons on regrouping and carrying strengthened the skills that lead to his scholastic success. He admits though that the AR competition in 2nd grade was one of his favorite memories. Today, Travis is teaching at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. | Travis Jordan

7: Salma won the Golden Slam in 2028, making her the 2nd female player in history to do so. | worked hard to balance between studying and her rigorous practice schedule. This paid off. She earned her medical degree. After retiring from tennis, she plans on opening her own family medical practice. | The southern town of Tiznit, Morocco is the birthplace of Salma Bechar, four time Wimbledon Champion. She is the oldest of three. She started learning how to play tennis and speak English at a very early age. Though her true love was tennis, Salma realized that working hard on her studies was equally as important. According to Salma, her 2nd Grade teacher, Mrs. DiPrato stressed the importance of "learning stuff you don't know." From that point on Salma | Salma Bechar

8: Patrica is one of the featured editors of NY Arts Magazine and the Art Review. | Danish Artist Patricia Molgaard moved from Frederich, Denmark her birthplace to the United States when she was very young. She and her brother Nicholas quickly assimilated to the American Way. They learned to | read, write and speak English very quickly. Patricia really enjoyed math but creating art was always her first love. Partirica 's talent continued to blossom while receiving her fine arts degree in college. Now, her paintings can be seen all over the world. She is featured in Moma in NY, the Louvre in Paris and the National Gallery in Copenhagen. Patricia lives by the Golden Rule her 2nd grade teacher Mrs. DiPrato taught her, "Treat others the way you want to be treated." | Patricia Molgaard

9: Darian was the 2031 ASP World Tour Champion. | gave tutoring him in math and reading. Those crucial skills coupled with his success as a professional surfer have resulted in a profitable surf shop chain. | Darian's love of the ocean began shortly after his family moved from Bothell Washington where he was born. He spent many weekends at the beach clowning around with his older brother. Once Darian became serious about surfing, he joined the ASP World Tour and landed Mountain Dew as his sponsor. Darian admits that much of his success he owes to his 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. DiPrato. He is thankful for the extra time she | Darian Bramblett

10: Grace received the 2031 AVMA Animal Welfare Award for her efforts in advancing animal welfare awareness. | Grace Fay, known as Gracie to her closest friends, came into this world on May 27th, 2003. She is the oldest of three. She often helped her mother take care of her younger brother and sister. | This motherly instinct grew stronger as she grew older. She distinctly remembers the egg experiment in Mrs. DiPrato's class. After that, Grace knew taking care of animals was her calling. Today, Dr. Fay is a renown veterinary expert, offering advice to pet owners worldwide. She maintains her private practice and is the new host of the "Dog Whisperer" on National Geographic Channel. | Grace Fay

11: Tyler won the 2032 Home Run Derby with 29 first round home runs, beating the record set in 2008. | Tyler is often asked about being a role model. He stresses that education is important. He still remembers his 2nd Grade teacher, Mrs. DiPrato. She taught him that the bones in your hands and feet are called phalanges. | Baseball great, Tyler Requa got his start at the Dr. Phillips Little League in Orlando. He was born the youngest of three in the hot summer of 2003. Tyler's coaches realized his hitting potential early on and always placed him at the top of the batting order. Once the Majors heard about this slugger, he was quickly drafted. Though he has been awarded the MVP many times, he is best known for breaking Josh Hamilton's record in the 2031 Home Run Derby. | Tyler Requa

12: Marlon received the National Defense Service Metal for developing weapon systems. | Marlon's story began in Ingolstad, Germany where he was born the oldest of two boys. Marlon moved to the United States at an early age. By age 8, Marlon was fluent both in English and German, which | later helped pave the way for Marlon's impressive military career. Once he joined the Army as a young man, he quickly climbed the ranks to become one of our nation's top defense strategists. Marlon says that he owes it all to Mrs. DiPrato, his 2nd grade teacher. Her strong foundations in math and science, particularly adding and subtracting, peaked his love for those subjects. This interest ultimately lead to his success. | Marlon Brunner

13: Brondon won his frist MVP Award as a rookie in 2023. | announcer on ESPN. Brondon says that he is very thankful to Mrs. DiPrato, his 2nd grade teacher, who taught him the importance of learning Algebra and going to college. | Brondon Mesidor was born in late August of 2002. At an early age, he enjoyed watching the Orlando Magic play. He was quite tall for his age and came by basketball naturally. Brondon was a first round draft pick straight out of college. In his first year of pro ball, he was awarded the MVP, making him youngest player to receive that award at age 21. Brondon continued to play with the Orlando Magic until he retired in 2031. 14: Oumaima was presented with the Artist of the Year Award at the 2031 Art Awards in New York. | Internationally acclaimed artist Oumaima Zguiouar was born in her native country of Morocco in December of 2002. She and her family moved to Orlando when she was very young. Though English was | not her first language, she learned to love reading in 2nd grade. She remembers that Mrs. DiPrato would read to her class and always stressed the importance of reading. Oumaima went on the earn her degree in art and design at the Art Institute of Chicago. She has received many accolades for her distinct style. She was Artist of the Year at the Art Awards in 2031. Several of her pieces are displayed at the Guggenheim in NY. | Oumaima Zguiouar

15: Hunter Thoss | Mr. Thoss and Mr. Rogers are currently on a special undercover operation. Therefore, their biographies have not been included to protect them and their families. | Arkeavies Rogers | These two great Americans are serving our Nation.
