S: Kiera The First Year
FC: Kiera The First Year
Kiera Avery Life changed the moment you were born. We look at life through a different set of lenses. There is no such thing as a boring day. A gloomy mood can turn right around with your little smile. You are loved. We hope that this book will be a reflection of the joys we experienced during your first year of life and serve as a reminder that you are always deeply loved.
 Welcome to the World
Kiera Avery November 7, 2010 5:45 pm 7 pounds, 1 ounce 21.5 inches | From the moment we first held you we thought you were the most beautiful and amazing little being. With your big eyes and tiny cry we were so amazed that you were ours!
Not only were we captivated by your quiet presence and tiny coos, but all of your grandmas and grandpas were too. And of course you were given a very warm welcome home by Ruby, Jax and Lincoln.
Daddy was so proud to hold you in his arms the night you were born. He held you tight and didn't let anyone else cuddle you- not even all of your grandmas and grandpas that came to see you in the hospital! That didn't change when we brought you home, either. Dad was excited to show you your new home and, of course, introduce you to the joys of a lazy football Sunday.
Oh, Kiera. It's difficult to put into words how I felt when I held you. The first hours and days you were mine flew by in a blur, but I will always remember the first time you looked at me and just knew I was your Mommy. It was a powerful moment and one that bonded us together with a kind of love and trust that I never knew existed. For that I forever thank you, my sweet, perfect girl.
We were blessed with beautiful fall weather right up until after we brought you home, allowing for a couple of walks around the neighborhood before the snow started falling later that week.
The cooler temperatures that followed provided the perfect opportunity for some family time inside. It was easy to keep cuddled up and cozy with a beautiful little baby like you around!
Merry Christmas Baby | One Month Old
Christmas was the first holiday our new little family got to spend together and it was magical. You were captivated by all the sights and sounds of the holiday season. We shared some of my most cherished moments during the quiet hours in the middle of the night beside the twinkling lights of the Christmas tree. You would quietly drift off to sleep entranced by the lights and sparkling decorations. | We can't wait to share more holidays and traditions with you!
