1: The inspiration for this trip came during my pregnancy with Megan. Christopher and I would faithfully watch "Cake Boss" on TLC every Monday night. We decided that a 5th birthday celebration in Hoboken, NJ and New York City would be magical. We were fortunate that so many other family members agreed!

22: After eating our cake, we spent the afternoon at another nearby park playing with local children. They sang "Happy Birthday" to Megan after seeing her birthday girl bib. Chris pushed his sister for her first swing ride. We also went to a nearby grocery store to get sandwiches and other goodies for lunch. The day was truly magical!

34: We were originally scheduled to fly home on Thursday, May 26th. However, due to mechanical failure we were forced to stay another night. We departed from Laguardia Airport instead of Newark, NJ as intended. It was an absolute nightmare. Our shuttle driver took 3 hours to get us to the airport because he didn't know where he was going. I spent my 30th birthday in the New York, Columbus, Ohio, Dallas and El Paso airports. We also received sad news that Papa S.M. passed away that same day. Despite the trouble getting home, our trip was so special and unforgettable.
