1: Doane College Choir travels to Brazil May 18th - June 2nd Brazil Tour: 15 days, 7 cities, a lifetime of memories Cities: Bauru, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Petropolis, Ouro Preto, Belo Horizonte, Manaus
2: Started off the trip with a long day of flying and riding buses. We had to keep ourselves entertained and awake somehow! :)
3: The first sights of Brazil! Start of a whirlwind adventure
4: My host family: Sara, Carlos Sofia & Giovanna | Bauru, our first city
5: Bauru Zoo We went to the zoo in Bauru. We saw tons of monkeys, owls, peacocks, and other strange animals. Top: Molly, Liz, Jill, & I at the zoo
6: Botanical Gardens of Bauru Natural vegetation in Brazil: mini pineapple, orchids, and a gorgeous view from their pond.
7: Happenings in Bauru: (Bottom up) Sofia(my host sister), singing; the kids from Four C in concert; Four C nametag; Doane on a billboard; Chocolate fountain; church we sang at. Finally: we were famous in Brazil - Dr. Runestad got asked for autographs and pictures
8: Late night in Bauru Gorgeous sunset, great reception, and fabulous food
10: Sao Paulo City tour, inside the cathedral, the central point of the whole city, and view of city at night

29: Riding down the Amazon River | We arrived just after their rainy season ended so everything was flooded, which is why you see little to no trunks of trees.
30: We visited a rubber farm museum. It was along the Amazon River.
31: These were used back in the day when slaves were used in America as well. The people were treated and fed poorly, while being worked to their death.

33: We visited an indigenous tribe they sold us their crafts and even gave us a performance of their dances
