12: On March 26, 2011, Great-Grandpa Buerer, almost 90, went home to Jesus. Mommy was reading Psalm 23 to him when he took a deep breath and very peacefully left us. His funeral was on March 30, 2011, and Poopaw gave the eulogy. We will always remember Great-Grandpa's smile, quiet determination, and love for his Lord. 13: We enjoyed a relaxing spring break in PA, visiting Poopaw & Grammy, Heather, Zach & Adam. | Spring Break April 2011 | Cousins

15: Poopaw took us to a petting zoo, Travis & Ashley made us green waffles, Grammy planned a movie night for us, and Jess came to visit us with Emma, Ally, & Michelle.
16: At the end of the week, Daddy came to pick us up, and we celebrated Ava's 2nd birthday and Uncle Travis's 30th birthday with all of our family! | April 2011
17: Grandpa & Nanny Sopher, Uncle Jeremy, Aunt Jess, Emma & Ally came over to join in the celebration with us. | Happy Birthday to you!

19: For Mother's Day, we savored a picnic lunch, hiked up to High Shoals Falls, and played in the creek at South Mountain State Park, NC.
21: Going to see CATS on May 24th | Aubrey's dance recital on May 25th with Mrs. Barb King David Christian Conservatory
22: Aubrey graduated from Hickory Grove daycare on May 27th. We could not believe our little girl's heading off to kindergarten in the fall! | Mrs. Karen & Aubrey

24: She did much better on this trip, allowing the dental assistant to actually clean her teeth, and she had no cavities! We had a fun-filled week, playing at several parks, including the splashgrounds at Latta Park. | At the beginning of June, Grammy, Aunt Heather, Zachary, and Adam drove down to NC for a visit. Grammy joined Mommy and Aubrey on a trip to the dentist. This was Aubrey's 2nd time visiting the dentist.

29: To celebrate, we spent the day at Dan Nicholas Park with Daddy, doing all kinds of activities!
30: During our summer vacation, we headed to Long Beach Island, NJ. | June 26 - July 2
31: Grandpa & Nanny Sopher rented a beach house with Uncle Kevin & Aunt Dee. (see separate photo book of beach trip)
32: We spent the week eating good seafood, enjoying the surf, and playing in the sand. | Nanny's Girls | Sunny Smiles!

35: Great-Grandma Sopher came to visit us for lunch one day. We also celebrated Grandpa Sopher's birthday while at the beach.
36: For our 10th anniversary, Ken and I returned to Cape May where we got engaged.
37: Breakfast at Jayson's Pancake House (coconut pancakes & omelet) Watching the surf at Sunset Pavilion (where Ken proposed) Lunch at The Lobster House (crab stuffed flounder with shrimp, shark, & escargot) Back in NC for dinner and a movie (final Harry Potter movie in 3D) Ready for another 10 years!

40: 4th of July | We celebrated at the Wyomissing 4th of July parade with Poopaw & Grammy

42: During the summer, Aubrey took swimming lessons with Jacob and Abby DiGavero and Jamie. By the end of the summer, she was swimming on her own! | Concord Parks & Rec
43: She also enjoyed celebrating her friend Maya's birthday. | BounceU in the University Area
44: Ava grew a lot over the summer, too! She learned her ABC's, slept in the bunk bed with Aubrey, and moved into Mrs. Mary's class at school.

48: NC Apple Festival in Hendersonville | Fun Rides!
49: The Apple Festival is held during Labor Day Weekend. We enjoyed the carnival food, cool mountain air, and exciting rides. The girls especially loved eating their first cotton candy!
50: Happy Birthday, dear Mommy! | Boardwalk Billy's | Daddy made Mommy's favorite cream puffs!

67: Ever since Aubrey's first Christmas tree, we've picked out our tree at Martin's Nursery in Mint Hill. This year was Ava's first tree at home. The girls helped to decorate it.
