FC: Crawford Family Memories
To Grandma, Over the years we have accumulated countless memories with you and Grandpa which have shaped us into the people we are today. Thank you for the stories, adventures, life lessons, and most importantly love that you have filled our lives with. We love you! Jerry, Denise, Tanya, Morgan, Peter, Burke, Jared, Isaac, Elisabeth, Joshua and Abigail
 Our Grandparents
Jerry remembers how Grandma was so sensitive to a young family's needs when they were in school and getting stressed out. She showed up in Salt Lake with a picnic lunch one day. Both Grandma and Grandpa even sent him and Denise to San Francisco to get away for a few days. Thank you for providing the foundation and back-up support as our family got started!
When I was in graduate school, Grandma could 'hear frantic in my voice' and came down the next day and took the girls so I could re-gain calmness! - Denise | I remember Thanksgiving with three crying babies (Tanya, Doug, and Adam), we all decided that we should never do that again! - Denise
Some of my favorite childhood memories are of special times with Grandma. Playing dolls - baths in the sink, then baby powder galore, special outings to the toy store or the mall (with mint and fruity ball candy), feeding the neighbor's dog, going out to lunch, helping Grandma cook (or thinking I was), reading 'Little Black Sambo' and 'The Thingamajigs'. - Morgan . . | I remember tea parties with grandma, using our own special tea sets, sugar bowl and everything. She came to visit after Burke was born, I just remember her going above and beyond to help out - even dusting the piano - and then crying when she left! - Tanya
Grandma bought us Jinny dolls and I remember being very excited to show them to her when she visited. She spent time with me, I just remember her being there. - Tanya I sunburned my face skiing and grandma made me banana milkshakes to drink through a straw because it hurt too much to eat. - Burke | I remember getting an awful headache and spending a whole day in the basement bedroom with Grandma feeding me graham crackers and keeping me comfortable. She missed the planned trip up the canyon but I loved having her there! - Morgan
Christmas Traditions with a Crawford Twist | Carrying on the tradition - Elisabeth gets into her role as a very meek and holy Mary. | Remember our Nativity Plays? The year Sean was an elf? I remember preferring white Christmas lights after I got home from Germany. I also remember one year decorating the tree with Chris after work and goofing off with the balls. - Jerry
A few of our favorite dishes.. Jerry - Gumbo, Chicken and dumplings, biscuits, pies, vegetables, just about anything Grandma makes! | Peter - Chicken and Dumplings | Good Times in the Kitchen | Burke - Biscuits | Denise - Rolls, Coconut cake, Potato Salad in Grandma's beautiful three sided bowl | Morgan - Dumplings, strawberry tarts, Grandma's pies and homemade ice cream | Tanya - Chicken and Dumplings, now loves making grandma's buttermilk pancakes for her family

Adventures with Grandpa - Life Lessons: Dad taught us to be honest, hard working, and do what we say we'll do with Grandpa stories - I love how Grandpa grabbed Grandma's hand as she walked by and called her 'babe' and 'mother'! | - Shooting BB gun and Bow and Arrows at cans in the backyard, - Fishing: first at the stocked fishpond, then the real thing! - Going golfing with the boys (a certain trip in St George when they managed to lose an entire bag of balls?)
Lake Roosevelt Our man-made lake surrounded by a sand castle city, water-skiing behind Grandpa's boat. Getting everyone shirts with the logo Tanya designed for her Elementary School | Bear Lake Staying in the condos with the big central gathering area where we played because it was cold outside. Evening Skits, The belly-button song, wet-suits in the water, watching the melodrama play booing and all!
St. George and Zion National Park - An afternoon trek up the Narrows, then everyone passing out on the grass under the big tree - Hiking to the Emerald Pools - Seeing MacBeth at the Shakespearean Festival | Remember when the refrigerator broke in the condo and we came in to the stench of rotting meat - and had to clean it up and buy a new refrigerator before everyone else got there? Hopefully you don't, but we do!
