S: Let The Memories Begin! September, 2011
FC: Our Disney World Trip, September 2011
September 17, 2011 We left early Saturday morning excited to leave for our Walt Disney World vacation. We stopped at the Springhill Suites in Savannah for the night. We unpacked our car and left to eat at Love's Restaurant. Dinner was delicious and the bourbon pecan pie was exceptional.
Tommy was excited about our first day at Magic Kingdom because Stacy signed him up for The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains tour. Caroline helped get Grandpa to MK bright and early Monday morning.

 Visiting the Roundhouse
We met Caroline, Ryan, Stacy, and Joe in Fantasyland to spend time riding the rides together. Ryan enjoyed getting on the "tea pups" with "Ampa." When the ride was over Ryan would always stop to close the tea cup door behind him. Then he'd yell, "Gin!"
Ryan was enthralled with It's A Small World. He'd look at all of the dancing dolls and say, "Wow." He loved the blinking hippo.
Caroline enjoyed the Winnie the Pooh ride. It was fun looking through Pooh's new play garden. Caroline liked the ball popper. | Ryan enjoyed playing the drums so much, he didn't want to go get on the ride.
To Grandpa's delight, Caroline wanted to ride Splash Mountain this year. Although she kept her eyes closed during the big hill, she loved it and wanted to ride it over and over.
We enjoyed other rides together. We all squeezed together on the TTA. Caroline enjoyed Peter Pan and our time in the Enchanted Tiki room.
One of our favorite rides is the Jungle Cruise. We learn something new each time we embark on this exotic boat ride. This time we took note of the Skipper's hut. All 37 crew members sleep there. Boys on the bottom, girls in the attic. The boy's aren't very nice, though, as they refer to the girls as airheads.
We enjoyed walking around the countries and enjoying the courtyards. Tommy liked the outdoor train garden in Germany.
We enjoy going to EPCOT for mainly two things: Soarin' and Coral Reef Restaurant. The mahi mahi there is delicious and the Bailey's Irish Cream dessert was wonderful. Lunch entertainment was magical as we watched the sea turtles and the kissing fish.
We loved going to Animal Kingdom to see all of the lovely birds. Tommy stopped to get his morning danish. For lunch we went to Tusker House. | The best part of the day happened on our way out. Goofy popped out and we had our photo taken with him.
We enjoyed seeing all of the topiaries and plants.
Baby Gorilla won the award for the cutest animal at Animal Kingdom. He put a sheet over his head and was walking around like a ghost. He even had his arms stretched forward. We could have watched him all day.
The safari ride is always exciting. This year we got to see Animal Kingdom's new elephant calf. He seemed tiny when he stood by his mom, if you call a 350 pound baby tiny.
 Disney's Hollywood Studios
Tommy was in Disney bliss when we arrived at Star Tours and there was only a 5 minute wait. When he got off the ride he was so happy I waved him on to go again. He was able to ride 6 times and saw all of the alternate endings.
After several trips through Toy Story we were famished so we headed to "Mom's" to eat at Prime Time Cafe.
Disney has beautiful flowers. I enjoy the pharmacy building at H.S. because it reminds me of the one in Kenbridge.
Port Orleans Riverside is our favorite place to stay. Ryan liked playing night-night on our bed. He also liked grabbing two straws to play "drums" while he ate his dinner. Caroline enjoyed the pretty flowers.
Tommy loves feeding the birds and ducks at Port Orleans. Caroline gave him a loaf of bread for a vacation present. It was exciting to show Ryan, who loves the peep-peeps, how to give them bread.
A shopping trip to Downtown Disney is a must. Caroline chose a Nemo, Ryan a key chain. Tommy chose Pinkie, but I left the Mad Hatter wig there.
