FC: Borrowed Reflections

I stopped took a breath checked my bag memories had turned to feathers pictures to stone

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods; There is a rapture on the lonely shore; There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more, From these our interviews, in which I steal From all I may be, or have been before, To mingle with the Universe, and feel What I can ne'er express, yet cannot all conceal.

It all comes apart but then my eyes Try to put it back together It all comes apart could I ever Put it back together

And once outside the undertow Just you and me, and nothing more If not for love, I would be drowning I've seen it work both ways But I am up Riding high amongst the waves

I'm a sous chef on a crew of skippers I'll be standing like a hungry ghost..... after dinner

the line, it writes itself across the dark sky in the electric flushes ending with a sigh it weaves itself into a fabric so true and flows just like the river graceful and blue

such is the way of the world. you can never know. just where to put all you faith. and how it will grow. gonna rise up. burning black holes in dark memories. gonna rise up. turning mistakes into gold. such is the passage of time. too fast to fold. and suddenly swallowed by signs. low and behold. gonna rise up. find my direction magnetically. gonna rise up. throw down my ace in the hole.

You have dirt under your finger nails and perspiration on your brow I am no taller than your knees so I climb, as high as allowed a transcendent view, a merry-go-round my feet firmly planted on your nurtured ground

Hey, little girl Black and white and right and wrong Only live inside a song, I will sing to you You don't ever have to feel lonely You will never lose any tears You don't have to feel any sadness When you look back on the years How can I look you in the eyes? And tell you such big lies The best I can do is try to show you How to love with no fear My little girl
