FC: Stephanie Grade 4 2010-2011
This was Josie's first Halloween, we took you guys to the pumpkin patch to find some good pumpkins and as always you picked out some great ones.
This year your costume was award winning, you won a prize at school for having one of the best costumes. You went trick-or-treating with Josie, Abby and Polly.
Sticking with tradition we went to Bellevue for American Thanksgiving and Black Friday. As usual you cleaned up at Lucky Strike and we had delicious dinners at Magiano’s and PF Chang’s!
Dad, Tessa, Josie, Grandma and Papa came to watch you play the recorder at your Christmas concert, you were amazing.
This year you and a friend helped Dad at the Christmas lights. After working Tessa, Barb, Glen, Josie and Margaux met you to look at the lights. After the lights we went to the Keg for dinner. | This year at the Family Christmas Party at the Fire Hall you got to hand Christmas presents to Santa. It was Josie's first year at the party and she wasn't very excited about sitting with Santa, but you were okay with it.
You were here late Christmas morning and opened up stockings with Josie, Dad and Tessa.
Grandma, Papa, Uncle Brent, Auntie Shannon, Alex and Ryan came over in the afternoon. We opened presents, had lunch and of course wrestled!
In the evening we went to Barb and Glen’s and opened presents, had dinner and played games. You did very well at Pictionary, everyone guessed your drawings. | You got tickets to the Vancouver Canucks again for Christmas and you and Dad had a great time, as always.
This was the first year you went snowboarding with school. You drove up and down on a chartered bus, had dinner up on the mountain and didn’t come home until late. | One day Dad even came up and went skiing while you were snowboarding.
Over Spring Break we went to the island of Kauai in Hawaii. We stayed in an amazing house with Rob, Naomi, Rachel, Lara, Jason, Shay and Jake.
We went out for dinner and to a luau, both nights the girls danced on stage. At the luau we ate a crazy big dinner and watched tradition Hawaiian dancing.
The beaches in Kauai were beautiful, white sand and crystal clear water. We went boogie boarding, Rob broke his board and you had a tough time catching a wave.
One day we went on a snorkeling boat cruise on the south side of the island. We saw whales, turtles and dolphins. The dolphins swam beside our boat for a long time and jumped out of the water and did flips.
Another day we went for a hike along the Napali Coast. It has been called one of the most beautiful places on earth.
This was your first full year with Josie, or as you called her Jose. You guys had great times together and you were a very patient big sister. We’re pretty sure you’re Josie’s favorite person, she LOVES her big sister!
This was your first year playing Select softball for the South Surrey Thunder. You went to Provincials and helped your team come in third place. In the consolation final, you went up to bat in the final inning, with two out, a runner on second and your team was down by one. You got a HUGE hit that brought in both the player on second and you! You won the game! Dad was so excited he almost took down the fence in the outfield. | Just like previous years you did very well at your Track Meet and won first in the ball throw.
During the summer you practiced a lot of softball, made a lot of new friends at the cabin and played with Josie and all of your friends at home.
In August we went camping in Vernon with a bunch of families, the Robinson’s, Decicco’s, Fort’s, Mugridge’s, Jorgenson’s, Pigot’s and McCoach’s. We went boating every day and you had a great time tubing. You and Rylee were determined to get flipped off the tube and kept on wanting to go faster.
