1: Day of the Dead in Mexico is a celebration of life.

2: The celebration starts on October 31st and continues on November 1st and November 2nd.

3: It is a festive ritual that the people do to remember their love ones.

4: People build altars in their homes to commemorate their loved ones. The altars include things like food, flowers, candles, and things that their loved ones liked during their life.

5: On the altars two of the most common items that you can see are the Bread of the Dead "Pan del Muerto" and candy skulls "calacas".

6: The flower that is commonly used for this festival are the different colors of the marigold.

7: People also go to the graves. They clean them and make them beautiful. They decorate them beautiful flowers and candles.

8: During this time the people have vigils during the day and night.

9: During the vigil some people bring music to their loved ones.

10: People have a lot of fun on this day. They paint skulls on their faces, and enjoy the festivities.
