1: Habitat- They live in ponds and lakes. They live in ditches too! The diamondbacks love to stay somewhere nice and cold. So you would probably never find one in the desert.
2: Food- My snake is a carnivore. It eats frogs and toads. Believe it or not my snake eats fish to. They don't eat like a copperhead or a rat snake
3: Characteristics/ adaptations- It has a long body from head to tail. They have a non venomous bite and a scaly top layer of skin. They also have a viscous sense of humor. My snake hides from hawks and owls so they won't get eaten. they can hide by the color of their skin. Like green snakes would hide in grass. Snakes are hiding from other snakes, owls, hawks and any other thing that would eat them.
4: Life cycle- The diamondback is born in the late summer and early fall. They give birth to forty-seven live young at one time. The babies measure to about twenty- thirty-three cm long. the baby snakes stay with their mom for a little while then leave.
5: Interesting Facts- All you need to do if you get bit is wash it off with soap and water The snakes bite is non venomous.
