1: I went along with Mellingers Mennonite Church to Costa Rica for ten days. On June 23nd we had to be at the church at 1:45 am and we departed from the church around 2:00 am heading to BWI airport. Our plane left BWI airport around 6:00 am and we arrived at the Atlanta, GA airport around 8:30. Our next plane we had to catch was taking us to San Jose, Costa Rica and we departed Atlanta airport around 9:00. Then when we arrived in San Jose airport we had to go through immigration then claim our baggage and finally go through customs before meeting up with the Pura Vida Staff that were picking us up and taking us to the PVM base.

32: Members of the church who served us while we stayed at the church.
36: Children's Ministry
39: On Monday night we went to a look out of the city by the beach and prayed over Jaco.
46: Tuesday night was our last night in Jaco so we had a prayer night. We invited people from the community to come to the church. That night our group did our dramas: the woman, the champion and king of hearts. People from our | group shared there testimonies and then we asked if anyone has some prayer request. After asking for prayer request we did a Latin style prayer (everybody stands and prays at once). At the end of the service we gregos (Americans) were told to greet a tico (Costa Rican) so I turned around and a young lady smiled at me so I went and talked to her. We were talking and then she asked me if I would be willing to trade my English bible for her Spanish bible, so we did. After that she shared with me about her life and me and DebbieSue prayed for her; when we were done praying she was crying with tears of Joy. I was feeling Gods calling to share my testimony and she was really touched.
47: Everyday Schedule We would wake up around 6:00 and get ready then have breakfast at 6:45. After breakfast we had quiet time for 45 minutes. Then we did work projects: scrubbing iron bars, painting, cleaning the bathrooms, guys worked on the ceiling and roof, and preparing for children's ministry; till lunch was ready. When we finished lunch we would get ready for children's ministry and then the kids would come. During children's ministry we would sing and dance; then have a craft to do. After all the kids would leave we had some free time before supper to just hang out and talk to each other about our days. Then we ate supper and then had an activity each evening. The rest of the evenings after our activities we were mostly tired so we went to bed because we had to get up early in the morning.
