S: ALASKA 2011
BC: IS ONE OF THE | MOST BEAUTIFUL | PLACES I'VE BEEN! | ALASKA
Alaska One fifth the size of the lower 48 and only one road into Anchorage. City of Anchorage is larger than the state of Delaware. Anchorage and Fairbanks are the two largest cities, 400 miles apart and neither one is in the middle of the state. This is the "arm" on our drive down to Homer, leaving Anchorage. We stopped to watch the whales making their way up. | Day one, Sunday August 28th
Stopped to see a glacier first hand
Summit Lake Lodge, we stopped in for a drink
Stopped in to Sals for dinner. This is a picture of thier menu. Liked the sayings on it.
Homer The Salty Dog bar on the "spit"
We signed and dated our dollars and tacked them to the walls. | Sunday August 28, 2011
The Spit A chunk of land that extends into the ocean and looks like Park Point. View from their "skyline" drive Sunday August 28 | Thursday September 1st North Pole, Alaska
 Great skipping stones
Seward, Monday August 29 | Whale watching cruise
As we were driving down the road, Cyndi stopped the car. In front of us was her favorite sight, I believe it was Mount Drum | Tuesday August 30, 2011 | Stopped at Glacier on way to Valdez
