 Preparing for Baby Brynlie
Mommy was unexpectedly checked into the hospital on September 11th due to severe preeclempsia. Dr. Owens said she would have to deliver you in the next 24 hours. You were born the next evening by emergency c-section when mommy wouldn't respond to any of the inducing medications.

Baby Girl | Bo and Preston's first peek at you
I thought you were the most beautiful baby I've ever laid eyes on and I was so happy you were my daughter! | One Day Old
Mommy didn't get to go to NICU until the next morning, and no one was able to hold you until then | This is the first time Mommy and Daddy held you
You were so tiny yet.... your feet were so big!!
We couldn't hold you for very long in the beginning but we cherished every minute of it we got. . Mommy went to the hospital everyday twice a day.
This was your first bath at a week old....you hated it!
When you were 5 days old the nurse changed out your tubes, this was the first time we were able to see your gorgeous face without the oxygen tube, feeding tube and tape. The nurse left everything off for a bit so we could just stare at you.
You are a week old in these pictures. They have taken you off oxygen and moved into a different NICU nursery. Your little hands stayed bruised from your IV being moved around multiple times a day. You are finally able to wear a premie shirt and one of the nurses made you this bunny hat you are wearing. You are being fed breast milk 8 times a day through your feeding tube, you are only able to eat a few milliliters at a time.
Your brothers were only allowed in NICU once a week. They would have to come home from school to take a shower and change into clean clothes before they could visit.
You were a week old before your brothers had the opportunity to hold and love on you. They each brought you a present that stayed in the incubator with you.
This was the first outfit we were able to dress you in. The gown is premie size and still swallowed you, but you looked ADORABLE anyways.
On September 26th you were released from NICU...4 weeks earlier than the doctors anticipated.

To My Baby Girl, I was so incredibly excited the evening I found out I was pregnant with you.I wanted a little girl so bad! I cried the day I found out you were a girl , we went and bought your white crib that night! Each time I had an ultra sound I made them confirm you were still a girl. Mommy became very sick very quick. We were preparing for an early delivery, but not 7 weeks early. I always joked that there were too many birthdays in October and you were bound and determined to have your own month! You were the most beautiful perfect baby I've ever seen. The doctors prepared us for you to stay in NICU for 6-7 weeks, but you were so strong you came home in 2 weeks instead, even your doctors were impressed.. I was with you at the hospital every single day. When we brought you home you were not allowed to be out in public. I took you with me to take your brother to school , pick them up and to the doctor and that was it! We had to make sure you didn't get sick as little as you were. For months we had to feed you every 3 hours and you were not the best sleeper, unless you were in my arms! At 2 months old you finally hit 9 lbs. and the doctors gave us a clean bill of health! I went back to work when you were 3 months old, I remember standing in the living room that morning holding you in your carrier and not wanting to walk out the door to take you to the babysitter, I cried all the way to the sitters house and all the way to work. You started going to Gigi's house when you were 5 months old. and you've been treated as a grandchild ever since! You stayed so small for so long and hit your milestones closer to your corrected age for the first year than your actual birthday.
I got compliments on how beautiful you were everywhere I went.. You took your first trip to Kansas when you were just 2 months old. Papa was having surgery so just the two of us spent a week in Kansas. Breeanna and Boston met us there for the weekend. Your entire family was constantly laughing at you, you were so funny! You had a ton of different facial expressions. In February you started eating solid food, and loved it. You didn't have any problems letting me know when I didn't get you a spoonful fast enough! You looked like a little bird waiting for a spoonful of food with your mouth wide open. In the spring you took your first trip to Texas so we could play at an indoor water park over Spring Break. On my first Mother's Day you were dedicated at Midtowne church by Doug Pruitt.. Over the summer you loved spending time in Gigi's pool... You stayed bald and toothless until you reached 8 months old when your first tooth came in! By the end of your first year you had caught up and reached all your milestones! You literally were a bundle of joy and a very sweet baby. Each day I loved you more and more, and each day I didn't think it possible to love you anymore than I already did.. You were extremely special and just perfect in every way. I have always thought God sent me an angel.. when I had you. I would tell my friends and family that I would be scared to have any more kids because I couldn't possibly love another child as much as I loved you.. This first year with you has been the BEST year of Mommy's life!!!!!
