A pond is shallow enough to grow small forms of rooted plants. Its temperature stays pretty even form top to bottom and changes when the air temperature changes. Bottom is covered with mud and most types of animals that live here are fishes, turtles, frogs, and snails. The food source would be rooted plants. | Fresh Water Biomes: Ponds
The Marine Biome: Oceans | The largest of all the biomes are oceans. Some animals that live there are plankton, fishes, whales, sharks, dolphins, jellyfish, etc. Their food are mainly the food web, producers to consumers. Plant life would be Coral Reefs, Kelp, Sea Weed, Rock Weed, Sea Wacks, etc. Its temperature depends mainly on where the ocean is located, the season, and the depth of the ocean. Its temperature varies constantly.
The Desert Biome: Cold Desert | They have cold winters with snow fall, high overall rainfalls throughout the winter, and occasionally in the summer. The desert is found in the Antarctic, Greenland and the Nearctic realm. Its temperature in the winter is from -2 to 4 degrees celsius, in the summer it is from 21 to 26 degrees celsius. Plants are deciduous, and have spiny leaves. The animals that live here are jack rabbits, kangaroo cats, pocket mice, grasshopper mice, and antelope ground squirrels. The food web is a source here, producers to consumers.
Forest Biome: Tropical Forest | Tropical Forest have a great diversity of species. They are found around the equator. There is no winter, only two seasons are present (rainy and dry). The length of daylight is 12 hours and varies little. The temperature is 20 to 25 degrees celsius. Plants that are here are many trees, orchids, bromeliads, vines, ferns, mosses, and palms. Some animals are birds, bats, small mammals, and insects. The food they eat are mostly plant life.
Tundra Biome: Alpine Tundra | It is located on mountains throughout the worlds at high altitudes that trees are unable to grow. The growing season is 180 days. The temperature at night is below freezing. Plants are Tussock grasses, Dwarf Trees, Small- leafed shrubs, and Heaths. Some animals are pikas, marmots, mountain goats, sheep, elk, grouselike birds, spring tails, beetles, grasshoppers, and butterflies.
