With great appreciation: This is a photo book of the lives touched by your time and effort to help those in need in Haiti. These families were thrilled to receive something as simple as a dress to wear to church, a blanket to sleep on, shoes to wear, and even a toothbrush... | In this book you will see just a glimpse of the difference you've made in the lives of these Hatians. Thank You
Missions of Love began as a medical mission that used medicine to bring people to know Christ. Over the years, Missions of Love has expanded beyond our medical clinic to include an Eye and Ear Clinic, Safe Water Program, Children's band and choir, and many more. We are continually growing and spreading the good news to everyone who will listen.
Many times a day in Haiti I came across a small child walking down the paths of the countryside. Hardly any of them have clothes or shoes. And I had the opportunity to give the girls a dress. Many children in Haiti have never had their picture taken before, so they do not understand to smile in photographs, but their enthusiasm was greatly shown through their actions.
The River is a great place to find children in need.
It was such a blessing for me to be able to go to the different houses and give out quilts, shoes, toothbrushes, and dresses. Most families were ashamed to take their children to church because of the old, dirty clothes their children wear. But now, these young girls can walk into church feeling awesome, and knowing that they truly are beautiful.
The beautiful Haitian girls were so thankful for the gift YOU gave them.
I truly feel like it is God's call upon my life to do mission work and help others. However, I would not be able to do a one-hundredth of the things I do if it had not been for all of your donations. They were truly a blessing!
Here we visited a family truly in need. Each child was able to receive at least two outfits, shoes, and a toothbrush.
The crazy part of the dress give away was finding the correct size for each child. Of course the dresses were size organized in my army duffel bag, but digging through and finding the right size was a little difficult. But it was truly the hand of God with us every step of the way, because we had a dress-the perfect size-for each and every girl in need we found.
The dresses were a true blessing for these girls. | JOY
To the children sponsors: Here are the 14 children that were provided school tuition and home necessities because of YOUR donation. Thank you so much!
It was so exciting to give out these quilts. All the mothers were so excited. Many times, in Haiti, there is only one bed in each house. Leaving many people to sleep on the floor. Quilts are a great gift for any Hatian. And, they were truly thankful.
By giving the families toothbrushes and toothpaste, we were given the opportunity to talk to each of them. Lssaint is a Hatian medical school student who explained to all of the families the proper way to brush their teeth, and the importance of using clean water while doing so. He went farther to explain the urgency of using clean water in everyday life. Now, the children in each of these families are provided with treated water daily.
A big thank you to Utica Baptist Church and First Missionary Baptist Church for all of your donations of shoes and clothing to help Haitians in need.
