BC: We are very grateful to IRIS Ministries for hosting us in Zimpeto in August ’12 and making our visit a life-changing experience!

FC: Jesus says: “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Peace’s and Joachim's Visit to the Children of IRIS Ministries in Zimpeto, August ‘12

1: For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. Jesus in Matthew 25 Dear Steve and Ros, Zimpeto Children’s Centre Staff, and Iris Ministry’s Missionaries & Pastors in Maputo: Many thanks for the great opportunity to visit the Zimpeto Children’s Centre in Maputo as short term missionaries in summer 2012. We are deeply grateful for the privilege of being an extension of God’s hands, feet, and mouthpiece in sharing His love with all the children, youth, and staff that we were able to interact with during the Isaiah 431 Project endeavors. The launching of this project at your centre was a very monumental step in our lives as we aspire to fulfill God’s callings on our lives - individually and as a team. It has been an eye-opening, heart-warming, deep spiritual and emotional experience; and you were a big part of this! We want to thank you for everything you are doing in Mozambique, especially on behalf of: the children of IRIS Ministries in Zimpeto whom you continue to show love and compassion, the children of the Bocaria who you continually reach out to with food, items of clothing, and other resources, the families and youth of the Maracuene Youth Centre, the people of the rural villages of Maputo where Iris Ministry has planted churches and continues to shine some divine light and hope into their simple dwellings. We very much wish that this book will serve you as a good memory of our visit and the wonderful people whose lives you continue to impact on a regular basis, as we continue to keep them in your prayers. We also hope that it will encourage you to continue doing the good work of our Lord among the poorest here on earth. May God bless you and continue to nourish your big heart for the African people! Berkeley, May ‘13 Peace Esonwune and Joachim Krueger

4: And calling to him a child, Jesus put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. Matthew 18:2-6

5: Jesus said: “Let the little children come to me, | and do not hinder them, | for the kingdom of heaven | belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

12: Jesus said: “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them. Mark 10:14-16

17: Jesus said: “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 18:10

20: Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up to salvation– if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good. 1 Peter 2:2-3

25: Jesus said: "What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish." Matthew 18:12-14

46: Opening ceremony for 2-3 year old transition room

52: Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony for New Church Building

61: Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
