S: Boren Family 2011

3: We started off 2011 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. The game was played at the new Cowboy Stadium and it was amazing. Don and Carol met us and we had a great time. The Aggies lost, but we still had so much fun!!

4: 8th Grade had a play about Samuel Clemons/Mark Twain. Ainsley played one of Samuel Clemons' sisters. Dietrich Kuhlmann played Samuel Clemons and did an amazing job! It was very entertaining.

5: Ava's musical theater class performed a production of, "Really Rosie". Ava was Susie and did a great job, as always.

6: Ava was in a production of Cinderella the first 2 weekends in March. It was a really fun show to watch and she did a great job. She had lots of fans to come see her including, Ashby, Emily and Livvy and of course, Ainsley and Nana and her parents.

7: 6th graders went to the Wildlife Animal Sanctuary. It was an amazing field trip and they did a great fund raiser for this worthwhile organization. We got to see Bolivian lions that have been saved from circus'.

8: Ava turned 12 years old and we celebrated with a bowling party. She had a great time with her friends

9: She had pizza cake, yummy. She got great gifts from her friends, and can you ever have enough chocolate??

10: Ava wanted to swim with the fish at the Denver Aquarium. She got to invite Emily and Ainsley brought along Elizabeth for moral support. This is Ava and Emily snorkeling, it was hard to see them, but there they are!

11: We sent Ava on a little hunt for her gift, a new suitcase from her mom and dad and a new tote bag from Ainsley. | The big surprise was me and the girls are off to Paris for spring break, Ainsley was shocked

12: Off to Paris we go! We were lucky enough to sit in first class over to Paris and on the way home as well. There are lots of pictures! The first day we went to the Eiffel Tower, many times over the course of the next few days. It started to rain so to the Louvre we went...

15: The second day we went to the top of the Arc de Triomphe and on to Champs des Elysses for ice cream and shopping,

16: We went to Galleries Lafayette, my favorite department store in the world and stopped by the Opera. We finished the day with a night boat ride, chilly but the hot cocoa helped....

18: Friday we were off to Notre Dame, we went on boat so we could see everything during the day. We had yummy gelato and then lunch at Angelina's, a very famous lunch and tea house. And to the top of the Eiffel Tower

24: We started Saturday at the Eiffel Tower and moved on to Sacre Couer

27: We went to Henri's every night, Can you eat too much Nutella? We don't think so. Our last day was kinda rainy, so we stayed warm and dry by shopping most of the day. It did stop raining long enough for us to go by the Eiffel Tower one last time for some beautiful pictures. Paris is one of my very favorite cities and I hope Ainsley and Ava love it as much as I do. I had so much fun with them

30: We went to the Hobbs' for the annual Easter egg hunt and brunch. We all had such a great time and the Hobbs were the best hosts as always.

31: Ainsley won an award for a science competition, 1st place, along with Elizabeth Rothrock and Alena Straus. Such a smartie!! | Meanwhile, Ava, Riley Fitzpatrick, and Maria Tinsley were in dance recitals at Younger Generation Players....

32: I can not believe that Ainsley is going to high school!! When did that happen....so fast. She is just beautiful. Grandpa and Grandpa Don and Grandma Carol came in for the celebration

33: Here is Ainsley with some of her friends, Lily Bell, Halie White and Alena Straus. And, Sabra Knauf and Kara Miller with me, long time since Mom's Mondays....

34: Anne Channing and Nana were sweet to come cheer Ainsley on and see her off to high school....

36: Ava had a show choir performance that we all went to see | It is the same show she will perform at Disney | We also went to the Wildlife Sanctuary | So nice for the girls to have their grandparents visit

37: Off we went to Orlando...Ava and YGP are performing and Parrish, Ainsley and I are off to all the theme parks. Ava had a great time and we only got to have her for one evening, but we enjoyed having dinner with her and some rides at least

40: We had so much fun at all of the Disney parks. Ava did an amazing job in their show and it was such a treat to get to see her perform!! What a great experience for Ava. Parrish and I had a blast running all over with Ainsley | After Disney we went over to Siesta Key, an island off of Sarasota. We stayed at the best hotel, a Hyatt residence, it was on a beach that had the softest sand. We rented a boat and Ainsley and I parasailed.

43: We had such a great time in Florida! The beach was spectacular and the day on the boat was so fun! Dolphins came right up to our boat!! Ainsley and I had a blast parasailing and saw a HUGE shark!! Beach vacations are the best..

44: We went to Crested Butte with the Young family for 4th of July. Our favorite 4th of July!! We love Crested Butte. The kids did a zipline and of course the parade and fireworks

47: After ziplining, we went on a big bike ride. Ava and Nate LOVED it. Kidding....

48: We had a great time riding the bikes, well most of us. The parents stayed in town afterwards and the kids walked!!! | yep, walked their bikes all the way back up the mountain. Crazy kids!! The parents put their bikes on the bus. smart.

51: Happy 4th of July!! we had such a great time with the Young's in Crested Butte. Our favorite pizza was, The Secret Stash and the fireworks were awesome | The girls and Parrish are off to Harmel's ....

53: Ava got to do the jr. wrangler program that she loves, they all fished and Parrish took Ainsley out for some back country driving! Yikes!!

54: The Slavens gang is well represented at camp | Emily and Ava are always together and Ainsley and Sophie | Geneva Glen 2011 The girls had a great time as always at camp. Looks like Trevor and Connor Hobbs did too

55: Meet Bailey!! we brought Bailey home on August 18th, and she is fitting in beautifully. She is a sweety!!!

56: Ainsley is 15 Wow, when did that happen?? Ava sent her on a scavenger hunt to find her gift, a cute pillow. We got her a mac laptop, lucky girl....and we went out to dinner with Lilly Bell. Happy Birthday Ainsley, we sure love you

58: Ava went on a really fun field trip. A scavenger hunt in downtown Denver. I went along as a chaperone and had a blast. Great way to learn a lot about Denver! | We ended with a tour at the capital and got to meet Governor Hickenlooper. He was super nice to the kids and took lots of photos with the kids and answered a lot of questions, too

59: Right after the field trip I raced off to the airport and went on a girls trip to St. Kitts. Sam Hefner invited me, Theresa, Angela and Val, a friend of Sam's. We celebrated my birthday as well, so much fun in the sun

60: We went to a really cool beach with a hog and goat and monkey, kinda different. And, down the beach was a live band and great restaurant. We stayed at the Marriott which was really nice. We went on a catamaran to Nevis also, lots of fun

62: Ainsley won student of the month for September!!!Yeah Ainsley!!! Her math teacher, Ms. Glerup nominated her and the principal, Ms. Ridneau, honored her as well!! Congratulations!!!!

63: Happy Halloween!! Ainsley is a zombie and Ava a 50's girl. Ava trick or treated with Livvy Diddlebock and Ashby Bell and a slew of other girls. Ainsley was out with Elizabeth Rothrock and Halie White. Scaryyyyyy

64: We went to Steamboat Springs with the Young family for Thanksgiving. While the skiing was awful, we did have a really fun time. We went hiking, to the hot springs and to a yummy lunch. Alex brought a friend, Shelby, very nice addition!

66: We decorated the house for Christmas | And, Ava was in her Christmas show and the Bell girls came along for support

67: Dad and Olga came in to celebrate Christmas early with us, went to Ava's show and we exchanged lots of fun gifts!!

72: Lucy 17 years old we miss her a lot she was a really great dog
