Why no, we didn't get blown away by freak February tornadoes. I positively detest washing muffin pans . . . but just made a batch of poppyseed muffins for my Very Nice Uncle. Just got home from Chili's after cleaning it top to bottom, in preparation for the visit from a regional manager. Ugh. I smell like a fajita. Ham and sweet potatoes, coffee and conversation, eggs and giggles, beloved people and rainy weather, Risen Savior and amazing grace. 121: Just sprayed bleach instead of Shout on April's new shirt. Would love to be in a Hummer in the desert with Sid under the stars, even if there is a skunk running around outside. Dropped a jar of Tabasco while cleaning after work and it broke and made the biggest mess you have ever seen. It was also very funny. Felt weird, slightly dishonest somehow, teaching the 3-yr-old that there are EIGHT planets in our solar system . . . Unleashing creative genius on the bare white walls of the apartment. Overheard April Joy: "Hush little baby, don't say a word, Mama's gonna buy you a mopping bird . . . " Tried to find one little thing at the mall today and nearly drowned in a sea of poinsettias, propaganda, and hyper holiday hoopla. Relaxed in the artsy district with a latte, the family, music, and a lot of crazy looking characters. Oh well, life happens. And it's truly a wonderful life . . .
