FC: Chris and Michele | Our family
1: Dear Birthparents, We are so thankful that you have chosen to give life to your baby. We believe that children are a gift from God and we love babies! We would like to tell you a little about ourselves and our family. Our names are Chris and Michele. We have been married for 18 years. When we had been married only 2 years, Michele's cousin Eric, who was 7 years old, moved in with us. For many reasons, his mother (also Michele's cousin) was unable to care for him. While raising him as our own son, we were able to help nurture his relationship with his mother. Today, as an adult living on his own, he enjoys a positive relationship with his mom. We consider Eric to be one of our children, and we are also good friends with his mom. We also have four children from birth: Madison (12), Macy (10), Cooper (8), and Morgan (7). We did not plan on a large family, but as each baby was born, we enjoyed them so much that we just couldn't imagine not having another. Michele delivered each baby by C-section, so after 4 deliveries she was advised not to become pregnant again. However, we still felt that our family was not complete. We adopted Marley (6) and Teddy (5) from Ethiopia in August 2011. They are biological siblings and are very close. It has been amazing to welcome them into our family and see how quickly they have adjusted to life with us. They are our children! You may feel like we have a full house, and we do, but just as WE love babies, so do all of our children. Our children have been praying for another child to love and that has always been our prayer as well.We believe there is no better way to spend our time than to love and nurture a new precious life. We hope this book will help you to get to know us better. We pray that God will give you peace as you seek to find the right home for the child within you. May God guide you to the adoptive parents He has chosen for your precious child.

6: Our Faith... Our faith is the most important part of our family. We love God and want to please Him in all we do. We enjoy worshiping together daily by reading the Bible and singing.
7: Our music We love singing and making music together! Our hope is that each of our children will enjoy learning to play a musical instrument. So far, our oldest four play the piano, guitar, banjo and violin. The rest of us enjoy singing!
8: Our School | Our family has decided to home school. We love learning together!
9: We believe education is very important! Chris has a masters degree in elementary education and Michele has a masters degree in social work. We believe it is our biblical responsibility to provide the best education possible for our children and that is why we homeschool. There is so much more to educating a child than just reading, writing and arithmetic. While those subjects are all important, education is really about preparing children for life. We hope to provide a great education in subjects such as reading, writing, history, geography, math, science, and music. We also hope to teach them how to know God and how to have Christian character traits such as honesty, humility, servanthood and patience. A large family provides daily opportunities to learn unselfishness and love. Since Michele is able to be home with the children daily she is responsible for most of the homeschooling. However, Chris owns his own bread delivery business and is able to be home some during the week. Because of this, we are able to do fun projects and go on field trips as a family. We love seeing new places together! Also, Michele and the children are able to help Chris with his job sometimes which is really fun!

24: Thank you so much for taking the time to look at our profile. We believe that children are a blessing from the Lord. It will be such a joy if we are able to once again welcome another child into our family through adoption. We plan to tell them their story from the very beginning. We want them to understand that an adoption plan was made for them because of the deep love their birthparents have for them. We would love to have pictures and letters to share with our child from their birthparents and would enjoy sending pictures and letters to them as well. We will be eternally grateful for the gift of a precious child. May the Lord comfort you and give you peace as you seek to find the right home for your child. Chris and Michele
