FC: class of | 2012
I have transformed a lot over the years. I became more matured and hard working person. When first day of school started, I had only few friends , but now I know many peers in Ruamrudee International School. Also I changed my hair style , I grew taller too. | How you have transformed from the first day of school at RIS?
What is your fondest memories at RIS? | The fondest memories I have in RIS are meeting new teachers and learning different subject, even though I did not enjoy it. | I remember the time that I got an medal for being the most improved guitar player. I am proud of my self for trying hard for that subject. On the other hand I get to meet new friends from around the world in this school.
"Friends are born, not made." ~Henry B. Adams | Activities you have participated in at RIS?
"A friend is one who knows you and loves you just the same." ~Elbert Hubbard | Since I started learning in RIS I realized that the school is no just for studying its also has activities for me to choose and experience as well. During the high school years, I participated in activities such as ice breaker dances, ukulele club, prom and rotary club. For the special occasion this year, I participated in the flood fund gathering to help out people who are in need of basic things. For example, water, food, shelter, etc. For ice breaker dances, its kind of club experience with age legal drinks like sodas and cheap foods like mama, fried egg with rice and potato chips. On the other hand, ukulele club gives experience for people who do not know how to play with a professional instructor. Prom is the event where I went for social event to meet up with my friends and talk to my seniors before they leave to university which is like a farewell party in an elegant hotel with good food. Finally rotary club, has help me realize that even though I am not physically strong, but my strong mind has make me go where I want to achieve which is building a wall which got torn down during the flood in Thailand.
"Friends change. Lovers leave. Sisters are eternal." | The most challenging experiences at RIS?
"You can take the sisters out of the Sorority, but you can't take the Sisterhood out of the Sisters." | The THEHHHEHEHEH | The most challenging obstacles or classes I had to over come are math class and Spanish class, because there are lots of mathematical equations I have to memorize also in Spanish class as well. In math class there are pop quizzes and pop test, which is not fair for the students like me unprepared. Sometimes I think teachers are cruel like that. On the other hand, Spanish class made me work harder and know lots of new vocabularies, and sometimes there are stressful moments like forgetting the words I memorized.
What is your big ideas you have gained through your time at RIS?
Learning in RIS has made me realized that I am a concrete learner and "hand's on" learner as well. Since I discover my talent I really want to become a Car Mechanic, I started to realize the talent when I started robotics class in 10th grade. By using the tools in the class I notice that I did really neat and professionally. In the end I did great in that class.
How you are prepared for your future after RIS? | RIS has taught me how to be dependent in the future for me, especially when I'm going to the university. First of all I realized that in university, the subject will be harder than High school like the main important subject like English, Math, Science and History. Without learning the main subjects as a foundation, I wouldn't be prepared for my university entrance and my classes for the university I will be attending.
What you know about yourself from your time at RIS AND how this will help you in life?
I started to notice my learning style in RIS every class is interesting, because its different. I often like to procrastinate and turn in my work at the last minute. I tried to stop that bad habit, because it is not good for my future studies. Now I've tried to not to procrastinate my work, but I do it sometimes only when there's lots of work due on the same day.
