In June 2011 We went to Quepos, Costa Rica to celebrate Dean and Pepper's 40th wedding anniversary. Uncle Chad wasn't able to come and Grant stayed home with Gramma. We were gone 6 nights, the last night we were in San Jose.
Crocodile Bridge on the road from San Jose to Jaco and Quepos.
We also stopped to eat on the road from San jose to Quepos. We loved the open air restaurant.
We fished for 2 days near Quepos. Both days we did inshore fishing. Shawn caught a big Sierra Makeral and Laura caught a big Jack Crevalle. On the second day Shawn caught a Rooster fish and Mutton Snapper.
Butterflies from the Butterfly garden and other wildlife from around our house, Casa Tropical.
We went to the Safari Canpoy near Quepos to do the zip lines. We went on 10 lines, 2 repels, a tazan swing, and a suspension bridge. Wyatt decided to hang upside down while zooming across!
The longest line was 160 meters long.
We walked through Manuel Antonio National Park with a guide. Wyatt was really good at finding small animals like spiders, crab and frogs.
We saw Galdiator Frogs, White- Faced Capuchin monkeys, a Jesus Christ Lizard, 2 toed sloths and 3 toed sloths.
On the way out of the park we saw a 3 toed sloth near the road. It is very rare to see the sloth close to the ground. Our guide was very excited and told us we were lucky!
At Casa Tropical we were visited by squirrel monkeys and iguanas. We loved sitting outside on the porch and the roof patio enjoying coffee, wine, tea, ...
Anna cooked amazing food for us! | Wyatt loved the pool at Casa Tropical.
