FC: Christmas in the U.S and Cuba. | By:Nasarah Johnson
For Christmas this year, my family and I went to Cuba. It didn't take us long to realize that they celebrate Christmas a little different than we do here in the U.S.
In Cuba many people have to work on Christmas.
nnn | As you probably know, most places are locked for the holidays except for hospitals, police stations, and other important Gov. jobs.
In Cuba they open gifts on the 6th of January.
Which by the way made me more anxious to rip open my present, because as we know most families usually open there presents on Christmas mournings.
Even good old St. Nick is different! Instead of toys they get candy...lucky!!!
But I still like the U.S Santa's way of things though!
Even though I liked differentness, yo estoy alegre to see some things that I was familiar with like...
decking the hall with boughs of holly... or as most people say Christmasfying your house,
Going to church for a Christmas service,
and my personal favorite, marking a HUGE and DELIOUS meal for all the family to enjoy (which believe me is a lot of bellies to feed).
