S: 2009

FC: Washington D.C. | Philadelphia | 2009 | New York City

1: We decided to go along with the school trip to Washington DC, Philadelphia, & New York City. We were old enough to be considered chaperones. Mike's Mom & my parents went along as well as Brady. It was a fun, fast-paced week. We left June 15 & returned home June 20, 2009 | Mike & Tori

2: Our first glimpses of DC | These dinosaurs were in one of the airports actually

12: All of this concluded the first day. Our motel was in Laurel, Maryland that night. | The White House

14: Day 2 commenced with Arlington Cemetary, including the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers.

23: We went to the Old Post Office & enjoyed the view of DC from the top. We also attended a Naval Concert that evening & so ended Day 2.

25: Day 3 We first toured George Washington's Mount Vernon We then visited the Holocaust Museum. Mike went to Ford Theater, while I went back to the Smithsonians. We then left for Alexandria, Maryland where these pictures were taken. | Gina & Tori | Meal on the bay

36: Ben Franklin's grave in Philadelphia. This was the end of Day4. We stayed overnight in Philly & in the morning, we toured Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was signed. After that tour we traveled onto New York City.

53: The view is Incredible.! Pictures do not do it justice to see NYC at night from the top of the Empire State Building

54: PIctures of our tour directors, Larry & Ron, along with Mrs. Van Voorst & Mr. Van Zweden., as well as the bus drivers. They all did a great job. Our last day began with a walk around Central Park.

61: Central Park was really beautiful. Alice in Wonderland with Brady & Barry A plaque for the children

63: An extremely sobering sight where the Twin Towers once stood. Also at St. Patrick's Church where there were many memorabilia of lost ones & true heroes. | G R O U N D Z E R O
