Walt Disney World Vacation November 16th-23rd

Planning | To tell Carson we were going to Disney World, Mom ordered a puzzle spelling out the message. Once he put the puzzle together he was so excited to see what it said and where we were going! We started planning right away! We even made a chain to countdown the time until our exciting trip! Plans changed a couple of times, but we didn't let that ruin our anticipation! Dad wasn't excited about wearing Disney shirts to the park, so Mom created the Bacon Treaty of 2013. She would cook one bacon dish in exchange for one Disney shirt! A month before it was time to leave we found out we were picked to test a new program and we would get to use MagicBands! We got some great goodies from our travel agent! Mom packed like crazy, and organized EVERYTHING!

Finally it was time to go! We managed to fit everything we packed in Dad's car. The trip down to Orlando was a little bumpy. Noah threw up in the car for hours, the air conditioner stopped working, and it was rainy. We were SO happy to get out of the car once we arrived! | Saturday November 16th, 2013- Travel to Orlando.

Our hotel was Disney's Pop Century Resort. It was AWESOME!

We enjoyed walking around our resort.

We haven't even made it to the park yet, but already we are having a great time.

Time to {TRY} to get some sleep before the Magic Kingdom tomorrow.

Sunday November 17th, 2013- We took the bus from our resort to the Magic Kingdom. We were so excited to see this sign!

We arrived early to see the "rope drop" show. It was very hard to wait.

Finally the show started. It was magical!

We entered the park and walked down main street for the first time. It was breathtaking (for most of us anyway!).

The castle was very exciting to see and walk through. Noah calls it "Our Castle" now.

 It's A Small World

Carson was so brave and rode so many rides! He was able to ride a lot of them twice with parent swap. He would ride once with Mom, then get off and ride immediately again with Dad. Sometimes it works out well to have a little (slightly annoying) brother!

We met Goofy, Donald, Daisy, and Minnie at the Storybook Circus in the new Fantsayland! It was so cool!

Carson got to drive on the Tomorrowland Speedway. He was a much better driver than Noah!

We took a break in the shade before lunch.

We had lunch with Winnie the Pooh and friends at the Crystal Palace. Lunch was delicious! They even brought out a cupcake for Noah and Carson to celebrate their birthdays!

We met Tigger, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, and Eeyore. There were plenty of hugs, high fives, and autographs!

Dad and Eeyore~ the two grumpiest guys in the park!

We enjoyed the sights around the new Fantasy Land!

The boys enjoyed a Mickey Ice Cream Bar in their new Mickey ear hats!

 Tomorrowland People Mover

 Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin

That night we had dinner at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café. We had a beautiful view of the castle from our table.

That night when we got back to the resort we found a really fun surprise that Mousekeeping left.

The next day was EPCOT. Dad loved wearing mouse ears! Noah loved pretending to talk on the phone so much we had to disconnect it from the wall!

Monday November 18th, 2013-EPCOT | The strongest kid in the world!

We went to Club Cool to taste Coke from around the world. Carson was not a fan of Beverly from Italy!

Next was The Seas With Nemo and Friends. This ride mixed animation with real aquariums. It was very very cool!

The aquariums at the Living Seas were beautiful.

Dad and Carson went to use the Fastpass for Test Track and Noah fell asleep in his stroller. Mom ended up with the perfect opportunity to wander around Future World taking pictures and video. She also enjoyed a healthy snack under a shady tree. Everyone was happy!

We ate lunch at Sunshine Seasons. It was one of our favorite meals of the whole trip. Too bad Noah slept through it.

It was fascinating to ride Living With the Land and see first hand how Disney World produces food that they serve in the parks.

We met Mickey, Goofy and Minnie at EPCOT Character Spot. Noah loved to hold all of the characters hands.

The last thing we did in Future World was Journey Into Imagination with Figment. This was Mom's favorite when she was a little girl.

We enjoyed walking around the World Showcase.

In Japan we picked a pearl to bring home as a souvenir for Mi-Mi. It was so exciting picking out our oyster, then opening it up to see what was inside. It was a very hard decision-everyone told us to pick the ugliest one we could find. We ended up with a really ugly one that had a big pearl inside!

Mexico was the last country in the World Showcase that we walked through. The restaurant smelled amazing! Next time we will eat there for sure!

For dinner we ate at Tutto Italia in Italy. It's the same restaurant where Paul and Jess went after they got engaged. Of course we had to reenact the famous engagement picture from 2 and a half years before. The waiters sang happy birthday to Carson and Noah in Italian! It was yummy!

We had a Fastpass for Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. We sat right in front and had an excellent view.

Good morning 3 year old Noah! | Good night 2 year old Noah!

 Tuesday November 19th, 2013 -Disney's Hollywood Studios

For breakfast we ate at Hollywood and Vine for the Disney Junior character meal. We met Jake, June, Special Agent Oso, and Handy Manny. It was a wonderful way to start Noah's birthday.

Every time we visited the Disney Store before we left, Noah would pick up Lotso Huggin' Bear and try to take him with us. When he saw the sweet smelling, snuggleicious, slightly misunderstood pink bear at the park he went right to him and gave him a tight hug! We knew that this was the perfect birthday treat for Noah. He carried him around the rest of the day!

We loved Pixar Place and riding Toy Story Midway Mania! The Green Army Man was pretty cool too!

Queue for Rockin' Roller Coaster | Waiting for Dad and Carson | Ride Cars | Dad and Noah waiting | Mom and Carson about to ride! | Mom and Carson's ride picture

Noah watching Disney Junior Live! | Mickey Mouse | Doc McStuffins | Jake and the Neverland Pirates | Sofia the First

We ate lunch at the 50's Prime Time Café.

Next we went to see Muppet*Vision 3D.

We met so many great characters, and had a wonderful day at Hollywood Studios.

Wednesday November 20th, 2013 -Universal Studio's Islands of Adventure

Carson was very excited to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Walking into Hogsmede Village felt like we were walking into the movie!

The Queue for Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey was amazing!

Next was Flight of the Hippogriff. Carson and Mom loved this one!

Carson and Mom enjoyed a Butter Beer {the frozen one is better!} and Noah got a giant sucker from Honey Dukes which he promptly dropped on the ground and broke. Bummer.

We didn't spend a ton of time at Islands of Adventures. It was supposed to be our rest day and Dad wasn't feeling well.

The rest of the day was spent at our resort napping, swimming, and starting a pin collection for Carson. He found Club Penguin pins and decided on that for his souvenir.

We rode the bus to Animal Kingdom first thing in the morning. The flag was at half-staff to honor Walt Disney's daughter Diane. She passed away earlier in the week. | Thursday November 21st, 2013 -Disney's Animal Kingdom

Our first Fastpass for the day was for the Kilimanjaro Safaris. It was EXCELLENT!

The sights of Animal Kingdom were amazing!

Next was Expedition Everest. Carson was very excited about this ride! As always the queue was amazing and the ride was excellent!

Dad wasn't feeling well, so Mom told him to go back to the resort and relax and the rest of us would stay and have fun at the park. Right as Dad was out of sight Mom had the frightening realization of the offer she had just made. She was going to be the only adult, with two kids, in a huge theme park she was not familiar with. | Carson suggested the Finding Nemo Musical and Mom thought that would be an excellent place to sit down, look over the plans for the day , and collect some courage!

The break was exactly what we needed! Next we went to DinoLand USA and rode a few rides. Carson had to ride a couple alone because Noah wasn't tall enough to go on also. What a brave dude! After DinoLand we had a character meal at the Tusker House with Mickey and Friends. It was one of the best meals of the trip! Mom was bummed that Dad missed it.

After lunch Noah fell asleep in his stroller and Carson and Mom started working on the Wilderness Explorer Badges throughout the park. Also, we met Dug and Russel from Up. Dug saw that Noah was asleep and sniffed his feet!

It wouldn't be a trip to Disney World without an afternoon rain shower! Dad was coming back to the park to meet for dinner, and Carson and Mom were going to ride Kali River Rapids. In the rain. Good thing he was wearing a poncho!

Dinner at Rainforest Café was fun. Noah was unsure of the animatronic monkeys though.

 Friday, November 22, 2013-Magic Kingdom

We drove to the park the last day because we had an early breakfast reservation at the Crystal Palace. It was really neat to ride the Monorail in from the parking lot. Since we were there so early we had a view of the Castle without so many people in the way.

Even though we had already met Winnie the Pooh and friends, it was still fun to see them again! The boys loved spending time with the characters! This was an unexpected favorite.

Friday was Pirate day! We also celebrated Carson's 9th birthday this day.

The first ride of the day was Pirates of the Caribbean. Carson loved it! We rode it twice!

We all enjoyed The Haunted Mansion. Dad and Carson rode together. Dad enjoyed that a little more than Carson did!

Next, Mom and Carson got soaked on Splash Mountain. Carson wanted to ride it again and again, but no one else wanted to get wet!

Lunch at the Tortuga Tavern fit perfectly with the pirate theme of the day!

Noah thought it was fun to take a turn wearing Carson's hat! After lunch we mailed postcards to some of the people we love back home right from the Magic Kingdom on Main Street.

For Carson's Birthday treat he went to The Pirates League. He had pirate makeup to look just like Captain Jack Sparrow.

The highlight of the trip for Carson was getting on stage and sword fighting with Captain Jack Sparrow!

We ended our trip with Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Carson loved his beard so much he didn't want to take it off!

We rode Prince Charming's Regal Carousel and then the boys tried their hands at the Sword in the Stone. No surprise- they had no luck.

The Castle was lit for Christmas and was absolutely beautiful.

We found an excellent spot to eat dinner and watch Holiday Wishes! fireworks show. Noah wasn't a big fan of these fireworks though. He hid his face on Mom until they were over.

Leaving the Magic Kingdom for the last time was a hard. We all were a little sad to leave, but happy to have made the memories we had made.

We stopped by the gift shop one last time to give a pin to Tonya, the Cast Member who started Carson Pin Trading. She gave him pins earlier in the week without asking for any in return. She told Carson and Mom that she collected Tinker Bell pins, but didn't have any because kids always asked to trade them before she could get home. Carson picked out one for her and told her to take it home and always remember him. On our way back to the room we stopped at the big 9 to take a picture of Carson next to it. As always whatever Carson does, Noah must do too!

Saturday November 23rd 2013-Travel Home The ride home was much less eventful. It was hard to leave the magic bubble that is Disney World, but we know we will return! We were able to stop and eat lunch with Grandma and Papa on the way because they were on their way to Florida! Mi-Mi gave us a warm welcome home !
