 For My Mimi
End of 2009 | We ended 2009 by heading to Vail with friends and celebrating New Year's. Dad rang in the New Year by doing a naked snow angel. Thankfully there were no pictures!
In January, Mimi took the girls to Atlanta to celebrate Ya-ya's birthday. She was turning 7. We went to the Georgia Aquarium, Cheesecake Factory, and The American Girl Store in Marietta. It is so much fun doing girl trips like this.
February was a quiet and cold month. I worked hard at gymnastics , went to art camp, and played in the snow. I got my own grips for the uneven bars! | February
In March, the weather warmed up a little. I had a really fun play date with my friend Sagen. Sawyer and Payton came over and dressed us up like princesses. | March
In late March, we went to Charleston for the Bridge Run. My friend Maggie Groat came with us. Mimi, Julie, Mom, Arden, Maggie and myself ran about 4 miles in the Bridge Run. Daddy ran the whole thing in something like 37 minutes. I didn't even know Mimi could run! We hung out at Arden's &Mimi's, visited the beach, and ate a lot of good food.
This was Maggie's first time being away from her Mom for so long. She was a little sad at first, but she has already asked to go next time.
April was a beautiful month. The flowers started blooming, the movie How To Train Your Dragon came out, and Roxy got a haircut. | April
My spring break from school was mid-April and we met Mimi and Poppy in San Francisco. I LOVED SF. I got to visit Chinatown, go to a science museum, visited The Great America theme park, saw ALcatraz, was held prisoner at a vineyard, and saw The Golden Gate Bridge of course! | The Golden Gate Bridge is not really red. It is called vermillion orange. Dad told us that.

In May, a group of us from North AL Gymnastics Center went to a special TOP's' clinic near Birmingham | I also went on a field trip with my classroom to the Children's Museum in Chattanooga. | May
Our favorite thing this month was to go to Weiss Lake and spend time with friends. Mom sent the picture in the upper right to the boat company that manufactures it and they put it in their newsletter!
May continued . . . | We finished up the school year and I said goodbye to my school friends for the summer. NAGC moved to a new building. My Mom helped move stuff and install the spring floor.
We had a tragic accident in May: Buster was accidentally run over by Mom in our driveway on Mother's Day weekend. All of us were so sad and found it really hard to believe. My Dad is having the hardest time of all. | We Miss You Buster!

June is my birthday month so I had a blast! After getting out of school I started having a ton of fun. We spent a lot of time at gymnastics and Weiss lake. Anh invited us to St. George to spend some time at their new beach house. We played hard on the beach, mom went fishing, and Logan picked on me and Ella constantly.
July was another hot month. We spent the 4th at Weiss Lake with friends but then started on a whirlwind of travel for the rest of the month. We left for surf lessons at Folly Beach, went to visit Virginia and then on to New York | July
The McCallies went to Folly Beach and surf camp with us. Deedee, Gary, Kaleb, Ryan, and their exchange student Angel met us there. We all stayed in this old beach house. Angel was from Costa Rica and was difficult to deal with sometimes. Arden stayed for a few days at the beach with us and then Dad and Shayne came later in the week. The weather was beautiful the entire week. Mimi came out to visit and brought out her new dog Sadie.
August started out with a trip to New York thanks to Mimi. I even got to miss the first 2 days of school to go. I think everyone in my class was jealous. I brought my class back a Statue of Liberty. Mom made a book about our trip. We saw the Broadway play Wicked, watched the group Train perform, spent time with Ms. Shirley, and shopped.
September | Me | Twisters | In September, I was busy with school and gymnastics. Soccer season also started. Mom and Dad coached my team-Dekalb Ear, Nose, and Throat Sharks. We even had 1 more good weekend at Weiss Lake and I surfed behind the boat alone with NO ROPE! | Finally lost a upper front tooth!!!
October | Soccer season continued in October. Our team went undefeated (Dad said it was because of his coaching ! ) I also had several gymnastic competitions. My class took a field trip to a farm. I was Astrid for Halloween. She was a dragon warrior from the movie "How to Train Your Dragon"
My mom took a lot of photos of me in October because I lost my second front tooth. She started calling me toothless! My soccer team won the league championship. I was tired all the time because of doing gymnastics 4 days a week and playing soccer 2 nights. Also Dad and his friends went to Vegas and saw Elvis! | No front teeth!
November | In November, we had gymnastic meets in Birmingham and Fort Payne. I hurt my knee falling in Maggie's driveway so I competed in some pain. Our gym had an intra-squad competition; Pink versus Green. I was on the green team. We won by less than a point. | Another loose tooth
December | Another year has come and gone . . .we have had some snow already! I think Roxy likes snow more than water. I completed my gymnastics season with the state meet in Tuscaloosa. I had my best performance of the season. During my Christmas program at school, the 2nd grade had to sing a lot of songs. Due to snowy weather we have already missed 2 1/2 days from school. I don't know what will happen in 2011 but I am excited for whatever it may bring.
