Criterion I. PLATFORMS (submit at most 3 pages for each of the 4 platforms) A. The Non-Traditional Entrepreneur - 20 Points B. The Economic Keys to Success - 20 Points C. 2: Platform 1: Non-Traditional Entrepreneur | Chapter Approach: The Art Show

3: Community Impact: We partnered with Black Art Plus - a local black owned art store - to host an art show. Over 50 participants enjoyed the artwork of local African American artists.

4: Participant Comment: "I had no idea this art store was in Columbus. Now I have a place to buy all of my black art work."

5: Platform #2: Economic Keys to Success Chapter Approach: AKAnomics Sessions Personal Finance Workshops

6: Impact: At each chapter meeting, we discussed a different section of the book. This served as a platform for sorors to learn how to be fiscally responsible and to take control of their money.

7: Community Impact: In partnership with Increase CDC and KeyBank Foundation, we hosted a 5 week personal finance course to teach participants how to control their money, develop a spending plan, and gain the fundamentals of insurance and investments.

8: Platform 3: Economic Growth of the Black Family | Chapter Approach: *Beautillion Program *YWCA Family Shelter Partnership

9: Community Impact: 11 young men participated in the Beautillion program. The program exposed the Beaus to leadership training, community altruism, camaraderie, and social etiquette. | In 2010, we awarded $4,967 in scholarships. During the program, we partnered with Northwestern Mutual, I Know I Can, and the Tobias Project.

10: Night of Jazz and Gift Donations Community Impact: We collected over 300 items to donate to homeless families at the YWCA Family Center. | MLK Day of Service Community Impact: 12 sorors served breakfast to more than 170 families, donating more than 60 hours of service.

11: Platform 5 : Health Resource Management and Economics Chapter Approach: Dancing Rivers of Life Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure African American Male Wellness Walk

12: Community Impact: Over 20 attendees participated in a workshop designed to discuss the cultural dynamics of mental illness and learn how to be more embracing of those individuals challenged with mental illness and the disease of addiction. | Partnership with T.O.V.A.S. Nest to deliver the mental health workshop, Dancing Rivers of Life.

13: African American Male Wellness Walk Community Impact: 12 sorors participated for more than 50 hours of service. | Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure Community Impact: We walked to find a cure for cancer.

14: You thought it was over... | In partnership with NABCJ, we raised money for scholarships at our annual Mongolian BBQ celebrity guest grill event.

15: There's More!!! | We raised money for the Sudden Infant Death Network of Ohio during a Crop Out. | We raised money for our community programs at the Pearl Lounge.
