2: #5 Female Spy: Edith Cavell | Though Cavell was never labeled as a spy, she still conducted secret missions in order to aid war prisoners in German territory to escape and continue fighting in World War I. During her time as Administrator in a nursing school in Belgium she was able to assist over 200 troops until her execution on October 12th, 1915. These noble deeds earn her the place of #5 of best female spies.

4: #4 Loreta Volazquez | Loreta aka Harry T. Buford ranks #4 of best female spies as a result of her boldness to join the Confederate Army as a man. She participated in many memorable battles such as the battle of Bull Run along with others. She was also a spy for the Confederacy while serving, but during her spying career she was captured yet releases due to her being a woman, thus never was she in great danger.
5: Ball's Bluff is one of the battles Loreta fought in as a Confederate soldier. | The Battle of Bull Run is one of the famous battles Loreta was present in.
6: #3 Elizabeth Van Lew | Elizabeth is not only #3 because she put herself in peril by spying for the north during the Civil War but also because she was able to create a network of couriers along with creating a code to gather information. She was a very resourceful woman and deserves #3 of the best female spies.
7: Elizabeth Often stayed in Richmond where the Union soldiers were kept prisoner. | Union territory where Elizabeth was if not in Richmond.
8: #2 NancyWake | Nancy was an outstanding woman and comes extremely close to #1 of the best female spies, but as she was attempting to escape France she was captured, though nothing came of this because nothing could be proved against her. She was a part of the SOE and was captain of FANY. She trained over 7,000 Maquis for D-Day. She organized parachute drops, was involved with sabotage raids to Gestapo and Nazis and was involved with guerilla warfare. She was involved in countless other perilous missions and contributed greatly to the secret war of WWII | Most wanted by Gestapo with 5 million Franc reward | The White Mouse
9: Nancy was stationed in occupied France during her time with the French Resistance. | Nancy was stationed in Great Britain during her time with the SOE and other resistance movements.
10: Virginia ranks #1 of best female spies because if perfection of spying could have been archived it would have been done by her. Not once was she captured even though she was missing her left leg (wooden replacement). She involved herself with the SOE and the OSS. She was able to create her own reliable network of agents, smuggle prisoners of war out of the country, was a wireless operator, conducted French resistance, and trained French battalions for D-Day. 11: When with the SOE Virginia was stationed in Great Britain. | Was in occupied France as an old milkmaid when working as a wireless operator and training French Resistance fighters.
