BC: These are the reasons why Nuclear Energy can be a good and a bad thing at the same time!

FC: Nuclear Energy: Advantages and Disadvantages of using it

1: A Few Advantages of using Nuclear Energy | Nuclear Energy has very low emission.That means that there is almost no amount of radiation, or gas released. Nuclear energy is made with Uranium, which causes Radiation when turned into Nuclear Energy. It can also be found almost anywhere! This is more convenient than Oil, because we mainly get oil from getting imports from other places. A small amount of Uranium will produce a whole truckload of energy! Amazing, right?! I know it is!

2: More advantages | Nuclear Energy is impossible to melt down because of all the fancy technology we have today. The engineers use some kind of special machine to do it. It's incredible, I don't believe what I'm hearing! It brings us happiness!

3: Last advantage I could fit in this book | With all the Uranium in the world, scientists expect it to last another 100 years. It is found all over the Earth's Crust, or in other words, its very outside layer. | Diagram of what the Earth looks like from the inside

4: A Couple of Disadvantages of using Nuclear Energy | There aren't many disadvantages of Nuclear Energy, but there are a few. Right now, I'm going to start telling you some. First of all, it is very expensive to build and maintain a Nuclear Power Plant. Also, the waste produced from the Power Plant is very dangerous. It has to be stored away to let it cool before it can be reused. That could take ages!

5: Final Thoughts about using Nuclear Energy | The last two disadvantages I learned are that the fuel, or Uranium, can be very dangerous. Last, but not least, Uranium is NOT a renewable source of energy, so that when it's gone, it will never come back! Even though I said that it should last another 100 years or so, when it's all done, there will never be any more. That's why we have to use it efficiently! Think about what you're doing, before you waste it all before anyone else has a chance to use it! Love it, don't waste it!
