Children Are a Blessing Psalm 127:3-5 3 Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. 4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. 5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame We are so thankful to God for sending His Son to save the world from their sins. Our lives have been forever changed by trusting in His Word and His ways. This year we celebrate Jesus for who He is and the gifts He has given us, specifically the gift of children. We never could have, would have planned our family to look the way it does and He has shown us that, indeed, He knows better than we do. Each one of our children is a huge blessing to us and we can't imagine what our lives would be like without them. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever! Psalm 106:1

Noah is 4 going on 9. He wants to do everything his older brothers are doing. He even needs to have headphones on long car trips to listen to music like his older siblings. He likes to play baseball, football, and ride his bike. He loves trucks, especially construction trucks. To think at the beginning of the year he was still our little boy, who still slept with a bedrail and a pacifier. He is so far from that now, it's hard to believe it is the same year! Now he is running around with the big boys wanting to have Nerf wars all the time! He started kindergarten this year and is doing great. He can now read over 50 words and is learning more everyday. 4: Lukey Luke as he is known around here is almost a year old. How time flies! From a little bitty helpless babe, well maybe not that little, to a fast moving cruising machine, Luke keeps us on our toes. It takes all of us to keep up with him, but we love it. He is so much fun! He loves to imitate us so we are having fun expanding our sign language vocabulary and teaching it to him. He loves to eat and he loves to play. His favorite foods are bananas and sweet potatoes. His favorite toys are anything he can push around the house so he can go, a push toy, a stool, a box, a chair, whatever he can get to move! When he is not on the move, he is playing with cars and trucks making them go. He loves to be outside and he loves the water. | L ots of fun U npredicatable K issable E nergetic

Austin has been very blessed this year with tons of friends. There are many boys in our neighborhood that are Austin's age. Between his brothers and all his friends he always has someone to play with. Austin likes to play baseball, football, ride his bike and play with Nerf guns (which is why Noah likes to do all those things). He also likes to play with Legos, Kinex and any building toy. Austin loves the pool and he and his younger siblings are asking to swim long after the swimming season has ended for the rest of the children. At 8 years old, he has just begun 4th grade. Like his older brother, he really enjoys math and reading and does well with all of his school work when he sits still long enough to get it all done. | A wesome U ntidy S ociable T alented I ntelligent N eighborly

Amanda is 12 years old and quite the industrious one. She is always looking for a new project. She sews, crochets, cooks, and is a computer whiz. She is the one Momma goes to with all her computer problems. Isn't it great to have kids! She is becoming a manager of the home. She is involved in everything from keeping her Momma on top of the school work to reading up on baby care and learning how to keep him on a schedule and recognize his cries. She has learned the most sign language and is diligent in teaching Luke. She has been involved in many outside projects for both school and church and runs her own pet sitting business, which has done very well this year. She continues to do her school work with excellence and also has time to help with the younger children. She is moving up to a responsible teen at a rapid pace! | A rtistic M otivated A mbitious N eedleworker D iligent A dmirable

This has been a good year for Alissa. She is very thankful for a baby brother, whom she thinks of as a live doll. She loves to play with him and make him laugh. Having a baby has helped her grow tremendously. It allowed her to get some one on one school attention through Sylvan to build her self-confidence. It has greatly improved her relationship with her younger brother, Noah, and has allowed her to see the value of being an older sibling. She loves to play and spends most of her day playing with her sister. She is very creative and loves to play pretend. She also loves to draw and if she is not playing with Julia she is probably drawing. She is working hard at her school work and making great progress. She can now read over 300 words and is realizing that she has the skills to read many more. She's growing by leaps and bounds! | A nimated L ively I maginative S illy S mart A ctive

Jordan is 11 years old and becoming the man of the house. He is Momma's go to guy when his daddy is away on business. He is always learning how to fix something new in our home. He is a great big brother and is always looking out for the little ones. He continues to excel in his schoolwork and needs very little instruction. He loves math and loves to read. He has become a big sports fan is always playing baseball or football with his brothers or watching sports DVDs. He decided to go out for the baseball team this fall and had a great season! | J udicious O bservant R esponsible D ependable A musing N umerical

Julia is growing up. At almost 10 years old, she is beginning to look like a young lady. She still spends most of her time playing with her younger sister. They play Barbies, Polly Pockets, Dress Up, and My Loving Family. They both enjoy pretend play when playing inside or outside. Although she doesn't love the outdoors she does enjoy playing in the pool. The kids like to play with her because she likes to play chase and usually wants to be "it". As Amanda has become busier with more of her own projects, Julia has taken over some of her duties as Momma's helper in the kitchen. She now takes care of lunch most days. She, like Austin, is in the 4th grade this year and is continuing to learn and master bigger things in her schooling. She is a diligent worker! | J ovial U nique L ikeable I nquisitive A ffectionate
