BC: Our six weeks were up and it was time to repack and head home. Though the weather wasn't the best, it was a relaxing vacation without snow. | I'm sure this all fit on the way down!
FC: Florida 2011
We left Michigan December 28th to travel to Navarre Beach. We managed to miss some of the worst weather ever in Michigan, but ended up with some pretty cold temperatures in Florida
We stayed at the Caribbean Resort 1103 this year. That meant we had lots of light and a perfect view of the sunsets. The kitchen was a bit crowded, but the rest of the place was great for company.
We took on the Dawsons in dominoes.
Mornings began with a walk on the beach to collect shells...
...and a stop at Tom Thumb for coffee.
The shells we collected this year went to Ruth Baltzell, who took them to her preschool . Our greatest challenge was to find sand dollars -- and get them home in one piece!
Afternoons were for playing golf. | Between the sand and a hard place
Hidden Creek | Also played: Tanglewood Tiger Point
 Evenings cocktails
 were for and sunsets
Rocking with Coconut Radio at Harbor Walk. Lazowski's joined us for the concert and drinks at the Dancing Iguana
After some fun at the dog track, we had a wonderful dinner at the Fish House.
 Their specialty was YaYa Grits
Jeanne visited a few times while she was in Ft. Walton watching Olivia. After playing on the beach, we went to Peg Leg Pete's for dinner. Later that week we went over to Steve and Sue's for red beans and rice. It was delicious!!
One day we went driving around seeing the sights and we ended up at Bay Towne Wharf. Bob talked Mom into buying a ski jacket so she wouldn't be cold
We chose a sunny day to walk the pier.
