We have arrived! Oh man. And we are alive. Barely. No problem arrived at the airport at 6 am. We told the kids that we did not want to pay the checked bag fee so everyone had to pack carry on luggage only. No problem. Til we were in line at the check in-as I was dealing with 6 passports and 12 tickets(a connection). The kids thought it would be a good idea to try their 'carry on' in the 'does your carry on fit in here' thingy. Then while dealing with the nice check in lady, I hear a barrage of 'MOM, my suitcase doesn`t fit!' Kerri, kerri, kerri, kerri, kerri, 'My bag doesn`t fit either!' A dirty look at Tom to deal with the yellers and we made it through security and customs without a hitch. The kids all brought homework to do on the plane and promptly opened their homework on the flight to Minneapolis. That resulted in a barrage of `Mom, is this a coordinating or subordinating conjuction' type questions. 'The answer is always 'yes.' Their was some considerable drama when on the flight to Orlando, Jenna realized she left all her homework in the back of the seat in Minneapolis. C'est la vie! We arrived in Orlando, no problem. Headed to the baggage carousel to pick up our LARGE checked bag(for purchases yet to be had). And the storm that rolled in! The LOUDEST thunder and gustiest winds and RAIN! So much so that they could not unload our bag. We then said `Hurricane Doylowski has arrived` We had to wait for a couple hours while they waited to unload the bags..no biggie. We rented our can and arrived at our house with no complications. The house is fantastic and I will spend more time on that later. We thought it might be a good idea to leave the kids alone in the pool while we headed to Walmart to stock up..while we were making the grocery list, we realized that might be the worst idea in the world. Promptly, they were evactuated from the pool. Everyone in bed by 1030 and RARING to go first thing tomorrow. On the agenda...Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay followed by The Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox Baseball game.

On Saturday we woke early and drove to Tampa Bay for Busch Gardens. WHOA! That place is awesome. We went on every ride in the place several times. We were even running from ride to ride. Yes, we were those rude people running you over loudly. There were basically no lines anywhere. Kate was at first too afraid to ride the Sheikra, then went on a much scarier ride right after. After that, she was all in every time. Right at lunchtime they shut the rides down due to Hurricane Doylowski blowing in. Good thing we had our ponchos. We were able to walk around a bit and then sit for lunch. Right after lunch we were back on the rides til we all had roller coaster concussions. Then we drove to St Peterberg to watch the Tampa Bay Rays play the Boston Red (MLB for you non sport types) We were all blown away. We got great seats and 3 home run balls were hit to our area. At one point(if you were watching the game) you may have noticed me on TV. Tom and Erik were checking out the stadium and saw me on the TV coverage! Yes, I`m famous. We left the ball diamond at 11pm (after watching all 9 innings and the game being tied). Erik was disappointed to leave before the end of the game and was asleep in the car before we hit the highway. | The Blog! In Print!

So this is a day off? We slept in until 1030. What a treat! We then hit the pool to enjoy the sunshine and some down time. Around 2 we headed to the outlet mall for some shopping. 6 hours later we emerged. The kids were a lot lighter in their wallets and the stores had many hours of folding clothes in our wake. Yes, that was 2 hours spent in the Lululemon outlet. | Seaworld apparently has some aquariums and sea animals. You can probably even learn something. But not us. Once again it was running from ride to ride. We did take some time to see two shows-The Shamu Whale show and the Sea Lion show. They were awesome and we were very entertained. For lunch we went to the Sharks Underwater grill where you can eat lunch in the shark aquarium next to sharks. Our favorite ride here was between the Manta Ray and the Kracken. Manta straps you in and you ride horizontally.

HUGE day at Disney. We left the house at 830 and walked in the door at midnight.

Today was Universal Studios. Our intention was to only hit one part-We went on Jaws, Return of the (step)Mummy, and filmed a movie`Disaster`. At lunch we decided to get a few thrills and headed over to the other side of the park. Hulk, Ripsaw Falls, Spiderman and even Dr Dooms Fear Fall were conquered by all. Tom and I felt we earned a drink so we sent the kids shopping while we enjoyed a Hurricane. They bought some stuff, and then found us. Turns out kids are allowed in the bar...didn`t take long until it was just us left. Came home and the kids hit the pool and then we had some dinner. Tomorrow is a waterpark day. I think I might sit on the beach and read my book. Oh wait, is that the ride where the floor drops out? Ok, maybe one slide.

So we headed over to Wet n Wild for our first waterpark day. Gotta say, I called uncle when the alarm went off. I thought-a day of running from slide to slide and then climbing 10 flights of stairs(or more)? Nooooooooo. I`m too tired! But of course everyone else was totally excited. Good news blog fans, it was like a day off. The park was not packed and the park was not so huge that we couldn`t let the kids roam around on their own. What does that mean? A little book time for Momma. The weather was super hot and the rides were great. They also had a huge wave pool and we all spent some time in there. One funny thing is Jenna and Kate got huge rashes at the top of their thighs from their swim shorts rubbing. Well I guess that part isn`t funny. The funny part is watching them walk like a crab from slide to slide. Tom took the kids out to TGI Fridays while I went shopping to the outlets. Some more alone time for me! | Universal Studio`s day 2. I`m almost too exhausted to type. However, in the interest of a few followers, I will put some excellent Harry Potter land photos up. Overall, we are all on each others nerves and short on sleep and short on fuses. So a lot of snapping at each other while running for rides. We openly yell at the kids in line with all the other parents yelling in line at the other disrespectful kids. There was little magic today. However, we still smile in all pics and that`s the trip we will remember... Tomorrow, our only day in DW. It`s a big one, I hope we hold up....

Yeah, so blogging while on a `holiday`(term VERY loosely used) of non stop activity is pretty hard. Last time you heard we were on a day off. We hit IHOP for breakfast, then back home for pool time and R and R. Tom got drunk on Coronas by the pool. Once he was hungover, we headed off to a different outlet mall for shopping, then ESPN Zone for Erik. ESPN Zone is NOT my kind of place. But it was like Erik found his people. It was college football on the the 75 tv`s and at one time Erik yelled `YA!!!`. Who you cheering for? The home team, was his reply. Late night then next day was Aquatica. But first we needed to knock off a couple more rides at Universal. We actually hit the 2 Universal parks. Then zoom over to Aquatica for a day of slides and sun and beach. A rainstorm blew in for about an hour but we sat through it and watched all the suckers leave. Then the sun came out and there were no lineups for slides. Once Aquatica closed we headed for one last ther`outlet mall and shopped til 830. We were pushing it. Several near death experiences from hungry kids `touching`each other and perhaps looking at each other the wrong way. Dinner was served at 1030 that night. Erik didn`t make it til dinner. New blog post for birthday boy next.....but probably not til tomorrow. I can`t delaypacking up
