FC: Our Wedding Day | 9.04.2011

1: Today I marry my best friend | Kylee & Tyler | Alexander Lake Lodge Cedaredge, Co | If you love someone you say it, you say it right then, out loud, or the moment just... passes you by | Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage

2: Kylee & Tyler In the beginning..... Kylee & Tyler started dating in 2003. One of Tyler's friends was dating Kylee's sister. A friendship ensued as they discovered similar interests, such as hiking, camping, snowboarding & going to the pot holes. They also went to the same school. They started getting serious a couple years later. Tyler graduated from high school & decided to stay in Grand Junction and go to Mesa State. They got their first apartment together in 2006. Then, just a year later, Tyler was accepted to Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where he could finish his degree in microbiology. Everyone knew Kylee loved flowers and worked as a florist for many years. Tyler never bought her flowers -- ever! She was working a normal day at the flower shop, and an order came in that said '"Designer's Choice". Not thinking anything about it, she made the most beautiful arrangement she could think of, putting on her special touch. When Tyler came home that evening, he brought those flowers she had made earlier in the day. She thought it was so sweet, and found out the girls she worked with were in on it. Guess it turns out Tyler is a closet romantic. The subject of marriage had been discussed for some time. They finally decided to look at rings in October of 2008. She found the perfect ring. But then days, weeks, and months went by still no ring. Tyler was being especially sweet, calling her mother for Kylee's special recipe for her favorite breakfast -- banana pancakes. There were bubble baths & chocolate. He went the whole nine yards, which gave her pause to think --I'm getting this ring. But as fate would have it, there was no ring. Perhaps it was the announcement of Kylee's twin getting engaged that delayed the event. It wasn't until December 13th, the first day of snowboarding season, that Tyler caught her off guard and proposed. It was the sweetest day ever! She had no idea.

She said, ""No, something to complement my dress." He said, "Something you buy at the BIG BUCKS SSTORE, a.k.a. the jewelry store?" She said, ""Yes, I really need something to wear for the wedding." They went shopping that weekend and found the perfect set to match her dress. Little did she know, her sister Carlee & Tyler had already been looking for weeks. And the "rest of the story" is Tyler thought Kylee put her sister up to it, but she didn't!

89: This book was compiled by Elaine Toland as a wedding gift from Elaine & Rick Photos by Elaine and Patricia Ordonez, wedding photographer January 21, 2012 | A couple of funny stories Kylee shared....... In 2006, Tyler was going on his annual hunting trip with his dad, Uncle Rick, and Evan Cruthers, whom I had not met. I decided it was a good idea to go with him and show him I could be one of the guys. It was a typical hunting trip, a lot of time sitting around the campfire, joking around, such as putting bacon under Rick's bed in the camper hoping to attract the bears. To all the guys surprise, I was right along with them, setting up camp & showing off my wood gathering skills. It wasn't until I showed all of them how a girl makes a real fire, that I really felt like I had the approval from his family. I proved I could hang with the guys. One of the things about Kylee that impressed Rick was her ability to split a log. The first time I felt the feeling -- "i told you so" was Easter week in 2005 when we went to Moab, Utah for Jeep Safari. We were 4-wheeling on top of a mountain in the middle of nowhere, on a trail named Metal Masher. We were getting in to some tough terrain when all of a sudden I heard a crack. I said, "Tyler, stop! You broke something. I think we should get out and look." He said, "No, it's fine! I'm not stopping. Note, at that time I got out of the jeep and said, "It's broken and you should look at it." He stopped and turned around , and just as we headed down the hill, we heard the second pop. The jeep no longer moved, of course it was broken. I said, "I told you so!"
